So Cal
After my disastrous first delivery of a leaking gallon of PG and another of (nonleaking) VG a replacement gallon of PG arrived today (I only asked for a new label, not for another whole gallon!) I see to my consternation that the PG expires in a year and the VG in two years. Now I have two gallons of PG (I can't tell when the other expires, because the label got washed off in the leak).

So, since I thought I'd bought a lifetime supply (really!), what are the concerns about using expired PG and VG?

The usual advice of "store in a cool, dark, dry place" should get you far past any expiration dates. You can decant some into smaller containers and stash in a freezer for long-term storage, neither will freeze, and both have natural germicidal/anti-bacterial properties. Both are humectants, they will seek to absorb moisture from surrounding air. Filling containers completely and keeping them sealed should minimize this.
