Ok, here's what I heard...

PG heavy liquids give better flavor

VG heavy liquids give more vapor

The best thing is to get a 50/50 blend cuz its the best of both worlds.

BUT, I also have been reading that VG is thicker, and its going to be bad for my clearomizer.

So, should I just get it like 80% PG and 20% VG, or what?

I prefer 50/50 and I have not had issues in a clearo. I like the vapor production too. Really high VG (thick/viscous) liquids like Boba's Bounty have caused dry hits and wicking issues in my top coil clearos. My bottom coil clearos handle the VG liquids much better. I took out one of the wicks in my Protank (bottom coil) on a recommendation and it is just singing with Boba's right now. I still prefer 50/50 though.

i started leaning more toward higher VG and a flavor shot if possible. Mainly because the higher the VG the more vapor and a slight loss of flavor and throat hit. the extra flavor shot brings it back. on some clearos i either remove a wick or slit the silicon cap that goes over the wick to allow more juice since VG is much thicker i dont have to worry about flooding to much but run the risk of under wicking. so, exposing the wicks to more liquid helps even that out.

I have been vaping 50/50 blends happily, but as a new member here I am learning that you get more throat hit from PG, and throat hit is honestly my favorite part of vaping, so I am going to be ordering some higher PG blends. Unsure of the ratio for now, but definitely more PG than VG. I also love massive clouds of vapor, but as I am learning it seems like I'm going to have to sacrifice either clouds or throat hit. Bummer lol.

VG is not bad for your clearomizer. There are some e-liquids that can 'gum' up your wick and coil but it not due to the amount of VG in it.

My brother and I did some simple testing this past Saturday with some PG and VG from Wizard Labs. Here's what we both observed.

PG is 12mg/ml nicotine
VG is 0mg/ml nicotine
100% PG - No vapor, good throat hit and a lot of throat irritation.
70PG/30VG - Nice vapor, throat irritation seems to be gone, some throat hit still present.
50PG/50VG - Great vapor, no irritation, throat hit almost gone (nic level now at 6mg)
100% VG - Great vapor, no throat sensation at all. Like breathing in air.

This test would have been more revealing if I had VG with 12mg nic as well but I didn't. Hopefully you can still gleam some idea of what PG and VG does.

Try going up by just 10% at a time with your PG so you don't get a serious dried out scratchy sore throat and tongue from it. I used to vape 80% PG% and slowly lowered it to 50%. Now 80% PG will make me feel like total crud for the next 2 days if I vape it.:(
