In general, PG will will carry flavors better than VG. With a mostly PG juice you can use significantly less flavoring than with a mostly VG juice. I find mostly VG juice to be easier to inhale to the lungs and less drying than mostly PG.

According to what I've found out, just as yzer mentioned: PG carries the flavor a lot better. PG also simulates the throat kick you get from smoking a real cigarette. VG won't give the the throat kick, but will produce more vapor.

Play the percentages. That is the best way to get the best of both worlds. When DIYing it is a good idea to have a goal in mind for the finished project. I find that helps to sort out the exact ratio to use. Do I want a dryer fruit flavor without a lot of sweetness (higher PG) or am I looking for a sweeter mellow vape (higher VG). That said I have do not change my base mix a lot I like the full mouth feel and the chewier vapor I get with my current ratio. I tend to up the flavor to overcome the muting aspects of the VG. I can see no good reason aside from sensitivity or out and out allergies to sticking to one base or the other. Neither is superior just different and by playing to their strengths you can end up with some very interesting mixes. :vapor:
