Can anyone enlighten me to the various pros and cons of using PG, VG & PG/VG mixes as bases for e-juice?

I am currently vaping with a mega duel carto and a tank atty both on a Tornado T (I think this is an EGO but not sure) battery. I Vape them both 'Cigar style', big draws without inhaling.

I've tried looking for info on this but so far I've not found the answers I'm looking for.

Thanks

The base liquid you use will depend a lot on what you're looking for in your vaping experience, and the type of cartos, attys or tanks you use.

PG tends to carry the flavors better, stronger, the visible vapor is a little less,
it will wick better in tanks and cartos.

VP tends to have a slight natural sweetness, it produces clouds of visible vapor,
the flavor can be a bit muted, and can be very thick.

Many vapers will opt for a mix to take advantage of the properties of both, and anywhere from 10% PG, to 10% VG. For the mega dual carto and a tank attys, a higher % of PG is recommended as it will thin your liquid enough so it can flow easier to the heater coil. You can also thin VG with one or two drops of distilled water, PGA or vodka per 10mL, it will allow you to use VG where you need the juice to be thinner.

Personally I use a 50/50 mix, and found what I like best by buying 2 bottles of the exact same flavor. One VG, one PG, trying each separately, and mixing small amounts together in various ratios, then give it the vape test.

For me, PG dries me out too much. Can't take more than that which is in the flavorings (I make all my juices DIY). VG does not do this, and I like the sweetness. Adding about 15% water thins them, and opens up the flavors and nic more too. PG also has a taste I don't like, sort of flowery...but then maybe its my sensitivity to it. Over time, it will give me mouth and gastric problems big time. Never the case with VG.

Some people also thin their VG juices with about 5% ethanol. This dries me out too. Wish I could use it, as it really opens flavors and the nic up, and has a TH in of itself.
