Ok, this might be a rehash of a thread, but I can't find anything specific. With a scratchy throat, cough, etc. and being of sound mind, I realize it might be a cold, but I'm also thinking PG sensitivity, it's been going on too long. In the scheme of things I'm new to vaping (4 months), and still have a bunch of stupid questions. Ok, back to my story, I'm using 65Ppg/35vg mix. Would a simple change to 50/50 make a difference, or should I be looking at max vg? Any suggestions? Not a cloud chaser, but a flavor chaser, and a hellofa chain vapor. Just being honest.

Could be a cold, could be a number of things. You will need to do a process of elimination. Takes time and trial and error.

What juice are you vaping and from what vendor? What nic level? 24mg nic is going to give you more throat hit and possible throat irritation than 6mg nic. Different vendors use different nic bases, some can be more irritating or taste different than others. I can not vape Mt. Baker Vapor and High Dessert Vapes; their base does not like me; tastes like chemicals and harsh to me. Many love them.

Cinnamon and menthol type liquids can be harsh too. I would try your current flavor at 50/50 and at max vg and see if that makes a difference. You can also vape some straight vg and see if symptoms go away (or all vg unflavored).

If it is a cold, by the time you check this all out it should be gone. Others may have better suggestions for you. Good luck and I hope you find the solution.

ETA: Also, in my experience, whenever I do lung inhales or use an Igo L, I get a bad sore throat. Make sure your delivery device is clean.

Yes, it could make a huge difference. I won't vape anything below 30/70 pg/VG anymore due to mouth and throat sensitivity.

same boat here...One thing I have found is some vendors 30/70 pg/vg is very thick and not as bad and other the same ratio is still too much pg...I prefer as high of a vg as I can get to wick properly! trial and error....you get there! Try some higher vg juice for a while and see if it helps...made a huge difference for me...One other thing it seemed like before on the higher pg I felt a lot more dehydrated that after I switched...but that may just be me...may have gotten used to "pumping in more H2O??
Good Luck...

Thanks for the feed back: I vape Wild Vape 65/35 menthol with flavor shot. I agree with you about MB, they have something funny about their menthol. I was wondering about such a small % difference with regard to sensitivity, and with all the great replies, I got my answer. By the way, only using 6mg of nic.
