Is there a "Guide for Dummies" somewhere about PG vs. VG, and what's good/bad about both? I'm using a 50/50 blend, and thought that was ok. Am I wrong?

pg - gives you the throat hit
vg - gives more vapor, from my experience 100%vg still gives great throat hit at 18mg.
I use 100% vg .. 50/50 is the most popular mix.
The more vg a juice has ... the more vapor youll get. the more pg .. the more of a th youll get. Dont know of any guides ... Never read one.
If I dropped to 6mg i would have to switch to atleast 60/40 pg/vg.

PG gives you more throat hit, while VG produces more vapor. As long as you're not allergic to PG then the mix is all about personal preference.
Haven't seen any guides but you can search for vendors who will do a custom mix. Most offer a proprietary blend and don't customize, but there are several out there that will let you choose. I like 70%VG.

Very few people are allergic to PG. 50/50 PG/VG is a good mix. Vape away and enjoy it! As mwa102464 said, you'll know if you're allergic to anything. Most folks are not.

Nicotine gives th. PG lets flavor through better but VG gives more vapor. Most people use a blend of the two to find the balance that makes them happy. 50/50 is fine. If you need more flavor or the juice is too thick, increase pg. If you want more vapor increase vg... but 50% is already pretty high so you may have issues with it being too thick if you do.
Also pg is not necessarily the carrier for nicotine. You can buy nicotine in 100% vg. Our Unflavored Smoke Juice (Nic. Juice, Nicotine Juice) - My Freedom Smokes See pg/vg mix option.

The other thing to consider about the blend you choose, is what you're vaping it in. If you're using something like filler cartos (like boges), thicker juices (higher vg) don't work as well in them and tend to gunk them up. Too high of pg can cause flooding issues in tanks. So, what type of juice holder do you use?
