Hey all. I got my e-Power almost 4 weeks ago, and I'm relatively happy with it. But, after reading all the glowing things people have written about vaping on this fine forum, I'm sure that my experience could be much, much better. My main "problems" are throat hit (too much) and vapor (not enough).
From what I understand, VG produces less TH and more vapor (but less flavor, which doesn't concern me at the moment). Now, I assume that if I try some juice with VG, maybe 50/50 PG/VG, I'll get closer to what I'm looking for. Right now I'm vaping 100% PG; the TH is quite a bit more than I'm looking for (but not overpowering), but there's like no vapor! After watching YouTube vids, I was expecting massive clouds of vapor and I'm getting nothing! Now, this shouldn't be a big deal, I guess, and it sounds kind of silly to say it, but I want those massive clouds! I assume that it's the 100% PG that's to blame for the lack of vapor, but I guess it could be my vaping technique, too (I get some vapor sometimes, but not much and not often).
I also read somewhere that higher nicotine content will give bigger throat hit. I've been vaping 18mg and 12mg (two different sample packs). I actually prefer the taste of the 18mg (tobacco flavors), and haven't noticed a difference in TH between the two. But could lower nicotine content help lower the TH?
I also read somewhere that VG doesn't play well with cartos. I've been using cartos since I started, and they work well for me so I'd like to continue using them. Would high VG juice be a problem with them?
Also, most of the juices I've tried have a seriously nasty chemical taste to them (the 12mg nic sweet "bakery" flavors are really bad). This is a big turn off, as I'm sure you can imagine. I assume this is due to the vendor/maker/whatever, so I'll purchase from a different vendor next time. Is a chemical taste a common thing that I'll just have to get used to (God I hope not!), or did I maybe get bad batches, or is it equipment, or what?
