As I am getting ready to dive in to DIY juice and doing my part of reading everything I can, I ran into the sticky about purity of PG and VG. So I started looking at the sources people are recommending like MFS and Essential and most of them are food grade or only marked as USP, but not the actual grade.

According to the sticky we should only use pharmaceutical grade. I am sure many people will say it works fine for them, but should I really be searching out the purer stuff? If it works fine for you today, will it a year from now or 5 years from now?

Also, where is a trustworthy source for pharmaceutical grade supplies?

Thanx

From Rolygate on a different sticky http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/509008-buying-ingredients-around-town-6.html#post11837335
"The individual vaper should buy a glycerine product marked 'Glycerine, USP' (USA) or 'Glycerine, BP' (UK) or 'Glycerine, EU' (in the EU). Assuming the product is not counterfeit, it will be the best grade available to the retail buyer. The label heading must be exactly this without any variation. The product may also be described in the smaller print as glycerol, glycerin, pharmaceutical grade, food grade, kosher, vegetable glycerine, etc. (as the small print is irrelevant)."
