Phase 1 of conversion complete!

As soon as I got my Mini 2.1 setup I realized I'd be converting as many of my tubes to boxes as possible. Offered up a shiny batch of goods in Classifieds and it didn't take long to sell the package. Quickly ordered a Copper Vein Grand to decide which size I like best. While waiting for it to arrive I stumbled across a few good deals on Grands in the Classifieds. First batch of tube gear netted me three Grands and an RM2. The used Grands are anodized and in good mechanical condition. I can tell you what the previous owners liked to vape though! SweetTart and Cinnamon, blah! Here is a before and after pic in case anybody else is thinking of converting some gear.

Well first, did you try to wash that smell out? I'm curious because as my REO addiction gets stronger, I'll probably by more off the classifieds, but you know, I'm noticing the price difference does not seem to be that different from a new one. This speaks volumes of the value. People are asking and getting great prices for their devices! I took a hit off the price when I sold the Provari. I already converted my regular size Provari. I think tomorrow or Saturday I'll convert the following: Provari mini 2.0, 2 ego twist, some tanks, some Johnson's creek juice that I can't stand and any thing else that was needed to support a tube mod. Yes, I'm serious.

The funny thing is I got these hoping to strip one and dip it, but they are too nice to do it. I might try to get one of those nekkid un assembled ones. Another thing, I really prefer the Mini but somehow wound up with only one of them and three grands. Back in the day, before I was "unloaded", I used EfferDent tablets to clean recreational devices. I'm gonna give it a try on these and see if I can get the previous juice scents out of them. super_x warned me about it before I bought them but I'm confident I can eradicate them.

Excellent idea about the EfferDent Tablets. I suppose you have tried vodka or everclear? Please, let me know how this turns out for you because it could sway my decision as to whether to continue to buy new or used. Then again, just because the box smells, it does not impart flavor on the juice; correct?

Navy brother, bro, I'd steer clear of used unless you really know the seller. I mean, like, personally know the seller. Nothing would suck worse than paying the same price (or very close to it) as a brand new blem only to find that it has been abused. It'll actually then wind up costing as much as a new perfect if it needs a rebuild kit or a trip to the Ninja Jedi. These things wind up in the hands of some real hacks. And people who don't live by the same standards of cleanliness.

I guess what I'm trying to say us that if ya haven't seen the mod in person, your safer just buying new.

Just sayin.

I wish I could say I have, but I only bought from Rob.

But...

2 of my chalices were used. One with pluid, the other with cinnamon. Both were very hard to remove.

You might have mistaken when I said I once dropped a red REO with a RM2 smack dab in a pile of dog doodoo that I couldn't get the smell out. But I don't have that one anymore. I basically gave it away
