pheonix clone not so great??

I recently picked up a pheonix clone from e-smokey treats and its not all that great. First thing I noticed is the two posts that the wire threads through are supposed to each have a little hole to thread the wire through, but only one post has the hole, making threading the coil very difficult, the atomizer also has incredibly poor performance compared to demonstrations I've seen online.


Does anyone know where I can snag a good pheonix clone or regular pheonix? Also where is a good place to grab bulk rolls of kanthal, nichrome, and silica wick?
Any help and advice is much appreciated.

try the A7 - SS, not plated - has holes in both posts, just a few bucks more then the cheapo clones. works well and will last.
some of the vapor problems can easily be your wick setup as well.

- and who doesnt want a 3 mile spool of kanthal for only 200 bucks? lol

Try pushing down the white insulator until you see the hole. It might have moved during shipping.Oh yeah the wicks that come with it are not very good.get some A1 32 kanthal wire and some 2m or 2.5 m silica wick .It should work great after that .good luck

[nnote]

Most rebuilders use the hole as the bottom wire mount and the screw as the top wire mount, for verticle SS wicks.
Its perfectly fine that way.
