I hear you, but I still think AVG is the best when properly set. I by no means have a high power machine, but when set to medium or low priority I can do just about anything while running a scan.
Just got home and found my Phiddy pine waiting for me, talk about fast!!!!!!!!!!!!

AV software is one of those topics everyone typically has an opinion on
In general, Paper is right, many AV solutions have some serious overhead, especially the legacy stuff. As for me, I use Eset on all 3 of my machines and IMHO it is one of the top 1-2 solutions. And, I know free sounds cool and everything but...I don't mind spending money on something as fundamental as AV software - then again, I tend to hang out in some pretty sketch neighborhoods.Oh, BTW, in general it's not a good idea to have multiple AV products loaded on your computer at the same time. On a more general note, unfortunately the more you write about your current problem, the less it sounds like there's gonna be an easy fix. Last - and only marginally helpful - comment, following an orderly process in tracking down a problem like this is usually a good thing...

Believe it or not,
I have a four foot wide floor to ceiling DVD rack in my living room. I pulled all the DVD's out of one slot and set the Phids in there. I thought it made for a good looking photo op. But like I said I suck at taking pics so anything can help someone like me when I have a camera in my hands.

I'm no camera queen either, because I have shakes from some medication I use. My most useful trick has been the travelling tripod: HOWTO make a camera stabilizer out of string, a screw and a washer - Boing Boing. A washer, a screw, some string, and you have a much steadier camera all of a sudden. =)

I tend to get the shakes when I am trying to steady the camera as well. Only thing is I am not on any meds, I think I am just an unsteady individual!!!! hahaha
So listen to this, my little bro and sis got a wii for christmas, so my step-mom got the Wii-fit. I was over at my parents house today and I started monkeying around with the wii-fit. I took this test to see how fit I am. The wii-fit said I have the fitness of a 42 year old!!!!!!!! I am only 29!!!!!!!!
The worst part about it is I am in shape!!!! I work out 4 days a week!!!! I think that thing is going to cause some problems with peoples emotions. hahaha
It should have a disclaimer on the board.
"WARNING!!!! This Wii-Fit board WILL cause low self-esteem AND a personal complex!!!"
