I placed my order for one on nhaler yesterday. Today reading on another forum I find out they will not be a supplier. I'm a bit concerned if its a genuine unit because there's a price difference here for what fono is selling his for. Why is there a price difference? Also been reading that ego isn't really 3.7v when tested I guess due to design. Is the phidias true 3.7? Also reading that some people remove the wic on their attys for better performance and flavor. Would hinder my vaping experience with the ask mighty woody?

ya the dark wenge is beautiful. especially in my hand. im waiting till fono's next run then i'm getting number 2. want somthing special to try and break the death grip i have on this one. I went to the mall the other day and vaped right next to the stop smoking now kiosk and had a bigger crowd then the salesman.

Word on the street is my Phidias runs a little hotter than your average 3.7v PV.

It could be the 100% solid copper wire I insist on using...

removing the wick on an old atty with a burnt taste may improve the situation.

Why is there a price difference? Maybe ask your vendor, see what they have to say...

I've found that both my Phidias mods have to be used with regular 510 attys. If I try to use LR510 attys, which I use on my other mods, they run so hot that it is difficult to keep them wet - a hit or two and they start to dry burn.

You know I just rediscovered the regular 510 I had given up the the low res ones, not so much for the taste, but that they do not last very long...

Now I'm totally into the the regular workhorse stock 510s, and they last for seeming ever...

It's a real bonus.

I've been using a standard 510 since day 1. The LR was just a touch hot, as was a 306.

For whatever reason, I have better luck with Volcano Magma attys than even Joye. If you look down into them, something fundamentally different appears to be going on.

Well I just hope that I'm getting the same unit. Not some defective one. Can't be sure since I don't know the reason for the split. Not probing, just stating. It was 110 without batteries, 138 with and charger and discount. I'm hoping these are just the last ones and are selling them at that price to remove them from his site. Well if for some reason its not complete or something I'll be returning it and purchase from you now that I know your selling solo. You know what. I'm going to email them cause this is going to make me worry till it arrives. Thanks fono.

Please understand these are not to my specs...you'll get a plastic feed button, a hard edged profile, different wire etc.

Hey, just thought you should know, there's a good reason mine cost a few dollars more.

I certainly do not think "defective" would be a proper description though---they are just different.

I think claiming they have hand turned exotic wood buttons is a bit too much however, just a typo I guess?

Ah...now I'm beginning to understand. Somewhere I saw a post with a Phidias photo that had a silver switch, the same type as on the Silver Bullet (and the offending Woodimus appendage).

I'm not really stupid per se, but I am slow...in any event, I'm glad I put $140 into the hands of the artist than a lesser amount into the hands of a distributer.

I think one of the things I love the most about my Phidias is the smoothness of Fono's rounded corners. I'm not sure but I think the "other supplier" doesnt have those rounded corners, I think theirs are sharp corners with a hard edge. Even when I'm not vaping I love to hold my Phidias and just rub those rounded couners because they are as smooth as velvet.

Okay I do have a question. I just got mine from another member and it works perfectly even to a relatively new Vaper. My question is when I am refilling If I accidentally got the hypothermic across the button contacts would this cause a short or just cause it to momentarily turn on while the points were being bridged? Just wondering how careful I need to be.

That would be a no...

All three points are the same + pole...

Plus, the part that bridges the contacts is plastic---and no way can you touch all three points at the same time because of the angle you need to place it in...

and you MUST take the atty off to replace or remove the feed bottle---so even if you did bridge the contacts on the button there's just no circuit to close...

Good battery habits, and fear of shorts is a good thing...
