Ummm huh? I mean an External Bottle like a dropper bottle, so I can carry juice in it, us a syringe to take it out, the put the syringe in my genesis and refill it. Not a specific glass piece for a specific genesis style. No I am thinking far more pedestrian then that. And I am well aware that I would have to wait and all that, what I am suggesting is a different idea from what you took from glancing over my post :D

I am offended, sir, by your assumption that I merely "glanced" at your post. In fact, I wrote a 40 page dissertation on it, including references and full bibliography, but decided it would go over your head--I can see now that I was right.

LaughingHardSlappingTable.gif

Actually, I did reread it a couple times, but I seemed to have a couple of the Geny designs that use the little glass bottles as internal tanks stuck in my head. You evidently misunderestimate my ability to misunderstand something even with "careful reading." :)

And I think it is adorable the pic with what I assume is you and your daughter. They grow up too fast, everytime i see your posts I remember when my daughter was little now she is too cool to hang with her Dad.

Thanks. I am preparing for that phase, though she is insisting it will never happen. I'm ready either way. And since I'm old enough to be all her friends' parents' father, I may get a buy and get to skip that phase. Not counting on it, but I'm prepared either way.

And yes while any glass will hold up to the ejuice, not all types of glass will hold up to continous use from months down the road meaning the glass won't look as nice a year or 3 from now using some of the more acidic juices, Moo can use acid to etch glass, but it failed on the pyrex they use ;) I am actually suggest Moo orders the Pyrex colors lab glass bottles and offer them as a canvas for sand blasting.....

Ah. Glass etching cream does not use acid, it actually uses sodium fluoride and hydrogen fluoride, neither of which will be found in any juice. And any actual acid that can etch glass has fumes that are highly toxic. The acids in juices may affect the finish of the glass, but it could be cleaned, though it would be inconvenient. And borosilicate glass looks nicer, anyway :)

Borosilicate is Studio Glass it is the lab glass that everyone thinks is Pyrex that shatters easy.

Pyrex (trademarked as PYREX) is a brand which was introduced by Corning Incorporated in 1915 for a line of clear, low-thermal-expansion borosilicate glass used for laboratory glassware and kitchenware.

Even Dow-Corning thinks Pyrex is borosilicate :)

Almost all things manufactured are manufactured in various grades, even Pyrex. For example, the Pyrex made and sold as kitchenware is not as strong as the Pyrex manufactered as labware...

So when you add the strength factor into the equation, actual pyrex is superior for that alone. But I agree otherwise I would be looking at borosilicate. And trust me on this one thing, there are organic compound that are used for flavoring that in their undilluted form can indead etch regular glass, borosilicate would hold up though, so yea you are right there.

I'll trust you on that; I cannot say that I am familiar with all organic compounds--or even a lot of them. Not sure how many are used in their "undiluted forms" in the juice we vape, though--or if having it mixed with vegetable glycerin and/or propylene glycol would count as being "undiluted."

On the other hand I will also grant that it's entirely possible that they could etch glass in diluted form as well
Whatever the type of glass, I think colored 30ml dropper bottles to use as a canvas for etching is a cool idea, I am sorry you don't like it, if Phiniac doesn't like the idea, that is fine with me. Forget the whole thing, I will crawl back out of the thread sheepishly and not return.
Okay. Thanks for informing that I don't like that idea, I was under the impression that I thought it was pretty neat. I'll simply bow out as I, unlike you, do not have a vested interest in the subject--at least at this time. I do think it's a fine idea, and while I obviously cannot speak for moorea I cannot see why Phiniac would be opposed to it other than possible time constraints at the current moment.

:)

No matter how prepared you think you are, you are NOT! One day it just happens. You have a sweet innocent 12 year old girl the next thing you know they are 13 or 14 and you do not recognize them, mine is 14 and she is making us work for our money!

Sorry I am not commenting on the glass jar talk, I am absolutely exhausted and I can't concentrate enough to read the details.

Sandblasted tanks should be on-line on Wednesday! :p

"Prepared as possible," perhaps? I've been through it a few times, helping the parents and/or the teens.

Like so many things in life, you're never prepared no matter how "ready" you are--but I am expecting it. In fact, both her mother and I are expecting it sometime around 10 or 11. She's already going through her Goth phase

Ah, I miss you phiniacs - I have been a busy bee away from the computer lately - it calls to me from across the room - I can hear whole pages of threads I'll never get back to, mocking me. lol Have a great night Moorea and Phinatics!! :)

I hear you, I have not been on much for the past few days myself!

All the sample tanks have been sandblasted. Tomorrow I take photos and videos and put them on the site, so I will likely be too busy to check the forums!

And just so Odium doesn't say it didn't happen here are a few photos!

Not only was I expecting it, I understand it. I was a teenage girl once, so I assumed I would fully understand it and not let it bother me because I get. That being said I really do understand it, I remember feeling and acting exactly like she does ... but being on this side of it is a entirely new experience. I now have a new respect for my mom!

I think we are going to have to stuff black fabric in some of the to photograph, a few of them the frost from the back of the glass is blocking the non frosted designs on the front. For example, the first photo 2nd to last tank, you can't really see the dolphin in the front because the frosted sea turtle behind is filling the clear dolphin.

Wash, put yourself back together dude, you won't be able to vape on your new Phiniac Seattle skyline tank if your jaw is not attached :D

LOL I'm trying to but, it's not working! Have to be able to vape when my tank is ready. Gotta figure something out quick. Hmm......gonna get my handy dandy bottle of Gorilla glue now

That's a good idea and would look very professional. The design will definitely show up a lot better and it'll pop, if there was black fabric in the background.

Can you tell me how many ml the shorty tanks hold compared to the regular tanks?

You know I can not  We have never measured them. It was not a product we intended to carry but got a few requests so we threw them into to the bunch.

I can tell you it holds less then 2.8ml though.

I am completely out of caps, so I can not take a measurement for you now. The hubby has taken the long drive to town to visit the machine shop and pick up a new batch of caps, so when he gets home this evening I will throw some caps on a shorty and take an official measurement.

The size difference between the shorty and the regular and the regular and the tall boy look to be about the same, so I am going to guess that it will hold approximately 2.4ml of juice. We will see if I am right when he returns.

Everyone leave moorea alone! Tanks are at stake here, so Back Off!:glare:

;)

I'm still owrking on it, I ran into a programming snafoo so I have not gotten very far! It is fixed now so things should start moving along at a better pace.

Woahhhh where did the Batman tank come from? never saw it posted and it's sold??
Wow someone has an inside source..Nice Tank.

Nope, no inside source. The only thing holding us up from selling the sandblasted tanks was programming the cart for the inventory. We had a handful of custom request tanks for designs not in our stock designs and we did not need the inventory programming for that so we have filled them!
