No I don't have netflix. We signed up for a brief while to stream via the x-box, but we have a big screen TV and evrything was small on it. It was like 15" on our 60" TV, and basically not watchable! I've been meaning to catch firefly for some time now, however the list of shows I watch is SO very long at the moment I have not gotten around to it, but I will. Maybe the next time there is a TV strike... LOL. I might also try netflix again, who knows, maybe the technology has gotten better and they can fill the screen!

I just assumed because it started in April last year it would this year. The BBC is also very strange in how it airs show here, for example, they first air Merlin here, weeks after it ran in the BBC. I had my DVR to set to record all new episodes, and missed a few because although it was new to us, the air date was a few weeks earlier so to the DVR it looked like a repeat.

Netflix works awesome through a PS3, but there's something about Microsoft's DRM that keeps Netflix screwed up (supposedly). Hulu, on the other hand, still doesn't work at all on the PS3 but I understand it works awesome on the Xbox.

Don't know nuffin about BBC scheduling. Heck, I was surprised to find out last year that BBC America was an actual channel rather than just the distribution arm it used to be. We don't have tv, we have netflix, downloads and recorded media (I would say "DVD's" but the wimminfolk still use VHS).

Do you know roughly when your batch of Phineers is going to show up? I some how lost my tank tool and was wondering if I should wait till then to order one, or just order a new tool now?

It looks as if they will be mailed to me tomorrow. So I would say depending on the USPS if all goes well they will be on the site sometime between Sunday evening and Tuesday. Again, it is really up to the USPS at this point so don't quote me!

So I guess you did end up picking up the buzz woody in the classifieds. Awesome, Mist does great work, I hope it treats you as well as mine has treated me!

Your will not be until the next batch as the batch that is on it's way to me was already started long before your request. But it will definately be included in the next batch!

Thank you so much for the tips ChellyNelly! I'm kinda a devoted atty guy, so I am in no rush--will just wait until a sale or coupon code comes up. It's just tha tI have been reading such great things about these tanks. As someone who has never really used cartos beyond ye ole penstyle versions, the thought of punching and filling and filling and punching does not seem entirely appealing, haha.

I think the tank filler tool will be helpful in pushing the carto down into the tank, but not helpful in getting it back thru the bottom o-ring after filling. Can someone who has one confirm or deny this?? I don't need help pushing it into the tank though, I just always put the tank on my desk, threaded end down, and push down hard on either side of the top cap, that moves the carto out of the o-rings so I can adjust it for filling. Getting it back in though is an exercise in futility most times.

Edit: Patch, I don't know of any coupon codes but they do have sales sometimes. I got my Phin on a 25% off sale. They also have a Scratch n Dent section which are deeply discounted for even the most trivial of issues, for example I've seen quite a few that have small imperfections on the bottom where the end caps cover anyways!

We actually sent out a newsletter this evening. We are currently running a 10% off sale on all tanks (except the phinner, but there are none on the site anyway) plus free shipping when you use the following coupon code.

Code: shipfree10

To take advantage of this discount and free shipping, please input the above code on the view cart page. If you copy the code from here, please make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or the end of the code.

Sigh. I really was done spending for the month. Really. But you posted some new tanks and then had a special?

That's too much temptation for any lady...

Katann .... I told myself the same thing and then couldn't resist the sale. I've an old toothbrush travel case (round) that fits a Bolt mod with a regular size Phiniac tank with drip tip perfectly. Goes right in my purse perfectly while holding the mod & tank upright for "on the go" use. Unlike men, our women's clothes rarely have a pocket that will neatly fit a mod with tank. As a woman, I carry everything in my purse but things can get pretty jumbled up in it. The toothbrush case works beautifully.
By the way, I did get a couple of the tank tools that Moorea offers. They are wonderful for refilling.

Plastic tanks vs. Phiniac's thick glass: When I first got a couple of plastic tanks, my daughter-in-law made me aware of possible hazards with a chemical known as BPA (Bisphenol-A) changing the make-up of whatever is in it. I've since noticed a number of soda drinks as well as bottled water with a "BPA" free label on them. Unfortunately, it is doubtful that those who make all those plastic tanks could even tell you if that chemical is in their tank. Now, I wouldn't consider putting juice, the vapor which is heated and in my mouth and lungs, in anything but a Phiniac thick glass tank!

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this subject?

I love, love, love the tank tools. I also wanted to say that once again I'm impressed with the quick service from Phiniac. I ordered a tank Sunday night (I think) and it's already here, along with my new carto punch. And the tank is prettier than the pictures. :D

When fishing Lake of the Woods in Minnesota, (on the Canadian border), we'd often start in snowsuits on the boat in the AM, bathing suits by afternoon in June.

Everyone's a hero in their own way!
Everyone's got somethin' they can do!
Get up, go out, and fly - especially that guy! He smells like po - o!
Everyone's a hero in their own way!
You, and you, and mostly me! - And you!

(Just channeling some Captain Hammer)

I've really enjoyed Castle, though I admit I only started watching it for Nathan Fillion. It's much better than White Noise 2, which I also watched for Nathan Fillion.

HAMMER
This is so nice
I just might sleep with the same girl twice
They say it’s better the second time
They say you get to do the weird stuff

ALL GROUPIES
We'd do the weird stuff!

Firefly! Moorea, I'm pretty sure this constitutes and emergency. One of the all time best scifi series ever made. I could rewatch it again and again. I just love ALL of the characters.

firefly11.jpg

Any Babylon 5 fans out there? Another good one.

Scifi series that I've watched, most from the first episode to the last: BSG, Babylon 5, Star Trek - original, NG, Voyager, DS9 - skipped some later seasons, Enterprise; Stargate - SG1, Atlantis, Universe; Dr. Who - new series, Sliders, Lexx, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Sanctuary, Torchwood, V

I know that I'm missing Farscape, and I have it on Netflix. I can't get the husband to watch it with me, and I'm making my way through Ally McBeal right now, which has taken forever since I rarely have time to myself.

Also, LOVE THE CARTO PUNCH!

The size is great. It doesn't deform carts like others I've used. Super easy. Thumbs up!

I remember back when in Colorado when we used to ski in shorts at the end of the season! We would have to start in ski pants because it was snowing in the morning but by very early afternoon the ski pants came off and the shorts went on! It really sucks if you take a spill though!

Yes, I know... I enjoyed the movie and really have been meaning to catch it. I think now that most shows have had there season finale I might have to try to squeeze it in before summer shows start. Falling Skies does not start until June 17 or something so maybe I can do a firefly marathon before I get hung up in my summer shows! I'll have to check out netflix again.... Maybe it works better when streamed through the computer instead of the x-box!

Very interesting how many sci-fi fans Phiniac seems to attract, do we have any customers who are not sci-fi fans????

Foggy, really you missed some seasons of DS9. IMHO, that was the best of all the treks!! Enterprise had promise as I am a huge scott bakula dating back to quantum leap (another awesome sci fi show, maybe on of the best) however it wasn't really given enough time to grow. Don't get me wrong all the star treks are awesome, but DS9 had a running story, unlike the others where you could miss an episode or more and still know what was going on and I personally got hung up in the story which got better and better each season!
