Yes, I know... I enjoyed the movie and really have been meaning to catch it. I think now that most shows have had there season finale I might have to try to squeeze it in before summer shows start. Falling Skies does not start until June 17 or something so maybe I can do a firefly marathon before I get hung up in my summer shows! I'll have to check out netflix again.... Maybe it works better when streamed through the computer instead of the x-box!

Keep in mind that Firefly is only 14 episodes. :( Also, Netflix has a free one month trial. I don't watch on my computer, but it seems a lot of people watch everything on theirs. I don't know how many series you watch, but they seem to have a lot of decent TV right now. Highly recommend Mad Men if you don't already watch it. Not scifi, but pretty much the best show on TV right now. It's main competition would be Breaking Bad, which can be pretty gritty, but also amazing.

I've watched maybe three or four episodes of Falling Skies and haven't found it compelling. Is it worth sticking with it?

Very interesting how many sci-fi fans Phiniac seems to attract, do we have any customers who are not sci-fi fans????

Foggy, really you missed some seasons of DS9. IMHO, that was the best of all the treks!! Enterprise had promise as I am a huge scott bakula dating back to quantum leap (another awesome sci fi show, maybe on of the best) however it wasn't really given enough time to grow. Don't get me wrong all the star treks are awesome, but DS9 had a running story, unlike the others where you could miss an episode or more and still know what was going on and I personally got hung up in the story which got better and better each season!

A friend of mine also highly recommended it. I think my husband was turned off by the whole mysticism / prophecy storyline, which you have to admit isn't Star Trek. Just added it to my instant queue. Can someone arrange about a month off so I can catch up on these things?

Edit: Also enjoyed Quantum Leap. Every once in a while we catch an episode on reruns.

Mad Men is very good. I don't think it is my favorite, but it is up there.

Falling Skies isn't bad, one of the reasons I like mainly because it is one of the few shows that Chris and I both watch, and with House being done, the list of shows we can watch together is growing smaller and smaller.

DS9 is definately a different direction for star trek, however even in that different direction it remains very star trek. The Bajorans and the Cardassian play a big part of the story line as the space station is in between those two planets, so it is only natural that the story line follows a kind of mystical one as Next Generation laid the ground work in the way they portrayed the borjoran and cardassian characters. I do not think it is the mysticism & prophecy that make it different then the other star treks, I think it is the fact that it has a story line at all that makes it different.

However the story line is well written and pulls you in a little more each season. The characters both old and new are great characters. The species and characters all stick to what you have grown accustom to in previous star trek series, bajorans act like bajorans, ferangi act like ferangi, klingons act like klingons etc. Wharf continues from where he left and so on! And I personally prefer a story line. If it is a good one, in my opinion it is kind of like when you read a book you grow more attached to character as you follow them through that story line. And the fact that they are not traveling around kind of makes a story line more of a necessity!

Just finally found your email. As I thought I thought Chris had answered you and he thought I did, it doesn't happen often, but it does happen now and again. I am sorry for the lack of reply, but happy you found the info you needed.

No worries..

My package came yesterday. I love the solid construction. Great tank!
Very happy with the cart punch tool, AND the tank tool as well. I will definitely be ordering again, and giving the stuff a glowing review on youtube when I get back to all that. Great stuff..

Please give me a link to the youtube review when it is done! I love reading the reviews, but I love watching them more!

Hi guys. I'm an upcoming member of the Phiniac fan club (I just ordered my first one today!). I can't wait to get it. Are they as easy to clean as I think they would be?

Well if you just order a tank, that means that the mask is being cut as I type! Yes, they are easy clean, although i am not a big tank cleaner so I don't do it often!

WELCOME you two!! Great to see new additions to the Phiniacs. Reidus, yes it's extremely easy to clean. I just take the caps off and wash it with some dish washing soap and warm water. Dry it up and it's good to go.

I'm lazier than that. I take the cart out and run water through the tank. I very seldom take it apart. Quick run through with a paper towel and it's good to go.

LOL ... I must be lazier then you, I hardly ever do that much. The only time I really ever rinse is if I've had a juice in there I really didn't like and need to get rid of the flavor ASAP or on the rare occasion that a carto gets a burnt taste, when that happens, I obviously remove the carto and replace it, but I am always worried the burnt nasty tank will stick to the tank, I'm sure it doesn't but I still give a good rinse. If I'm feeling extra lazy I don't bother with the paper towel I just shake it out really good and I don't think I ever remove my caps!

Haven't tried any of the others mentioned but I couldn't get into "falling skies" for some reason.... I really thought I was going to like it because I'm a huge post apocalyptic fan! Most the books I read have that very theme and I almost always like any decent post apocalyptic movies or tv shows but I just didn't like anything about "falling skies"

I use the improvised Moorea method. I just remove the carto. Put my finger over the bottom hole and put in some water. Then i put another finger over the top hole and give it a good shake. Then I just empty the water, run some clean water through it for a bit, drain and give a good old shake. A little water mixing into your juice won't hurt it a bit. Taking off the caps is something I did when I first got my first tank, but since then I leave them on.

It is definately not my favorite show, however it isn't horrible and as I said, there are so few shows that Chris and I both watch, it is nice to have something to watch with him.

I didn't care for cartos before I tried in them in a tank but I also did not care for dripping and finally did not care for the mouth full of juice I got with a ce2, so for me it was very hard to keep vaping, so much so I quit a few times and went back to stinky sticks in early 2010! But now that I have a carto in a tank I think it is all good!

I'd say give the cartos another try and if you decide your not happy with them, you can always use the ce2r5!
.....
And we are waiting for several items to arrive from china to get started on building a tank around a naked ce2 where the wick will be exposed.!
I felt the same way!! Cartos were driving me crazy, always needing filled and tasting like burnt a**, and I really don't care that much for dripping at all. My first batch of CE2s drove me nuts too, leaking everywhere including into my mouth ALL THE TIME! I was about 2 minutes away from giving up and got a Vision Stone 2, which worked for me great but my juice (which was orange based) caused the tank to leak. I tried to order more and found out that they were permanently out of stock :( I did some research and learned a LOT and ran across this place sellling plain, naked pyrex tanks. I thought they were pretty neat but also very boring, so I started looking for other pyrex tank merchants and found Phiniac! YAY!!! JUST what I was looking for, since Feb 16th of this year when I stopped smoking! :D I got some CE2r5 metal tubes not long ago and they aren't too bad for me atm, they aren't leaking on me too badly and I'm not getting mouthfuls of juice but its not the same as a tank! I can hardly wait for a naked-CE2 tank with exposed wicks, that would be heavenly for me!

Try cartos again. With them properly punched and primed you don't get a burned taste (except for the occasional bad carto) and they are just as good or better than CE2s in a Phiniac. Having them surrounded by juice with holes properly punched keeps the filler wet and you get a great vape. I hated cartos and used naked CE2s in a MAP style tank until I went Phiniac and now I would never go back.

I will definitely be trying them again. I am planning to order my first Phins with the kit and some cartos some time next week if all goes well and nothing drains our budget between now and then.

Well, I ordered 2 more tanks last night. I really love how these work!

If they were sandblasted they might not go out until Tuesday! Possibly tomorrow, but we got several orders over the weekend and might not be able to sandblast them all before the mail goes out on Monday! We always do our best to get the sandblasted tanks out same or next day, but every now and again we do end up using the 4 business days stated on the site for sandblast tanks... and this weekend just might be one of those occasions.

Well after reading countless post about Phiniac Tanks and bouncing e-mails back and forth with Chris all weekend I took the plunge and ordered my very own custom tank today, kind of funny since I haven't even received the mod I ordered it for yet or even used a tank before, lol. I must say that its almost unbelievable how helpful Chris was and if that's any indicator as to the quality of there product then I'm in for some very happy vaping:) now I just hope that the carto's I got for them will work out. Thanks Chris and everyone else over at Phiniac, really looking forward to stalking the mailman, lol
