kiwi, dentist sent me to a Specialist, he gave me some special rinse to use to SEE if the sores healed. If they did, then it wasn't cancer. So, I stopped vaping and used the rinse several times a day. Two weeks later I went back to Specialist. . .told him the sores were healing. He looked and said, your're right. So, it's not cancer. But, I felt like telling him, "thanks for scaring the holy crap outta me". And a waste of $500 dollars. The rinse the regular dentist sold me cleared the sores faster than the more expensive rinse the Specialist sold me. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu
Yep. Ya gotta be careful with doctors & dentists.
I've heard that 50% of the ones out there graduated in the bottom half of their class!

I actually started Ecigs (after many failed attempts on other NRTs) BECAUSE of lung butter. After developing an occasional cough it progressed to a constant need to clear my throat, eventually I was coughing up the usual dark grey stuff you hear about.

After ~2 weeks of vaping it went away. I still have to clear my throat occasionally, but it's not the hourly hack n "schhhlllloooorck" ordeal. And I can finally yawn again! Oh how I missed a solid lumberjack sized yawn.

Coughing is most commonly caused by the cilia that line your lungs cleaning out the tar and mucus. Your body is in the process of cleaning out all of the junk coating the surface of your tissues and will cough it up in the form of phlegm. It’s not pretty, but think of it as a makeover on the inside. This is a good thing.
Studies have shown that this process begins within a few days. You will most likely experience a morning cough for about a week, and clearing for up to a month. Recommendation: Consume lots of water to help this process along. For sinus congestion, take an over-the-counter medication until it dissipates. I use a sinus rinse and a nasal lubricant.

Thanks for information, I just have problem like this

I personally have no had any coughing/phlegm issues (although I do randomly lose my voice from time to time & have to clear my throat), but hubby is @ around the 4-week mark and is definitely coughing up the gunk ;)

I have had the mouth ulcers off & on. I get one or two, get them healed (really just a couple days of swishing w/warm salt water), and boom, I get another one or two. So far it hasn't become so troublesome that it would make me want to stop vaping, though.
