Phoenix RBA troubles

I got a phoenix rba to play with at home. After lots of reading and video watching I decided to rebuild the atomizer with a stainless steel mesh wick. It works great on my ego twist, but it wont work on my siegli v8 vv box, or the knock off i have. On the real v8 it reads f2, on the knock off version it just blinks 5v, which I think is a short circuit protection kicking in. I have built 3 coils today with the same results. Any ideas? I would like to use the phoenix with my mods but it aint working, my ego batteries are failing. I realize its a weird question for the new members forum, but Im a new member, I gotta post here.

On your sigelei you should be able to at least check the resistance of your coils. When you build and put it on press the plus and minus buttons simultaneously and it should give you an ohm. Anything around or below 1.4 (definitely around or below 1.0) won't fire.

I would also suggest getting a mech mod if you did want to get into "sub ohm" coils and such but really whats the fun of testing out a new RBA if you're pigeon holed to one device and can't use it on anything else.

More coils should help... I'm pretty new to it myself but it makes sense to me (greater distance the current travels the higher the ohms or something like that.)

If you did want to try a really inexpensive mech mod I know mad vapors has their plastic bolt on sale for just under $12

Mine broke within a few days but it was a mod in the pocket related accident and can't completely be blamed on the cheap materials...
