Didn't have as much time to work on my toys as I thought i would today. Went to play golf instead heh. I did redo the coil again using Hildicat's vertical coil method with an organic cotton yarn wick JCOkie gave me. Working pretty good but still too airy of a draw. Going to drop the hole lower per Rob's suggestion, and see what that does for it tomorrow.

I was just chatting with Marcus from Bogger Box mods and he is working on 3 different Phoenix style attys machined from scratch. He said one will be a BF version and designed to fit narrower deep well feeders. Might be a few weeks out as he is fine tuning the prototypes. Might be a solution for the REO Mini users as well as woodvil and 18490's.

I told him to stock up!

Strange thing happened today. I mentioned yesterday that I had modded the phoenix clone and put a vertical coil wick on it. I was using this yesterday on my bogger box vv feeder as it already had the flavor of juice loaded that I most wanted to try out. I check my battery levels every morning and my batteries, 2 imr 18350's, were down to 3.7 so I swapped them out for a fresh pair. I vaped 1-2ml on it yesterday and it should have been down to about 3.8 or 3.9 this morning. I forgot to check them this morning as I was running late. I just went to take a pull on it and nada, no vapor. pulled out the AW's and checked them on the meter, 2.0 and 1.7v!!! No way, I vaped enough to pull them down that low.

Now I am wondering what caused the voltage drain. Only thing that changed is the modded atty sitting on a shorty 510-510 connector. Is it possible for it pull current when not in use? Is there a way to check for this with a multi meter?

If you leave a VV Reo on, it will do this- I've learned many times (well, then not learning) the hard way...

I haven't given my VV REOs a chance to run down. Funny, though, I can leave batteries sitting in my Buzz Pro for a week and they don't seem to be drained but then again I haven't metered them. If I'm not using VV REO for the day(s) I take batteries out. One(s) I'm using I usually change out batteries twice a day. As of late Coppervein 18490 is the most used due to his handy size but always have one VV REO loaded.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

This should not be happening. It should not drain battery's when not in use. I have left mine for up to 4 days with battery's in it and it still runs fine with no battery drain.

The VV REO,s use the Notcigs chip same as in the Buzz Pro and I have left my battery's in them for up to a week with no battery drain.

So the VV Reo uses current when not in use? good to know! Anybody knows why?

Thanks for the head's up...Rob told me to send it back on another thread as well. Yeah, I'm going through 1 set of batteries per about 2ml of juice- that's 3 sets to go through a bottle in the VVG. Something must not be right- Just hate for it to leave my hands. I know...I know... the inevitable is coming.. :(

I would be happy to help you out Rob
First thing you have to do is remove the two post there pressure fit .

Next you need to mill the lip off the top of the atomizer , Now you can remove the center post and gasket

Now you can mill the rest of the atomizer down like you see in the photo I posted

I use the center post that came with the atomizer if its a clone its made of brass. You will need a 1/16 drill bit and a drill press with a vise. Use some oil when you do this or risk breaking the bit .

If you look into the bottom of the atomizer and on the positive pole you will see the holes there 1/16 holes you need to drill them out to 5/64 enough to hold the positive and negative posts .

Now you can take the two post and grind them down to the desired height . Clean the edges with a file and press them into the atomizer

You end up using the gasket that came with the atty slide it on 3/4 of the way and push it into position .

You will need to lower the hole on the cap of the atomizer it has to be inline with the coil I left mine up a whisker . If you have any ?s feel free to give me a call I am happy to help

great stuff man, you rock :)

I don't have mine in front of me yet, as I'm heading home today. But how do you do this? drill another hole? Just imagining your tutorial I'm thinking the stock hole will end up being too high?

you will need to drill a new air hole in the top cap across from the wick set up. Close the old air hole off buy using a peace of a cart condom or something like that.
