Phoenix v5 RDA and MVP 2

Ok so I have read a lot on here but never posted.. So here goes
I have just purchased an MVP 2 and a Phoenix rda v5. I'm using kenthal ribbon and 3 silica. I made two coils with 4 wraps each. It does not register on the battery or fire at all. My question is am I barking up the wrong tree? Does the atomizer even contact the battery? I had to extend the atomizer on my evod to get it to fire and make contact.

I then tried a single coil with the silica with 4 layers if that with 7 wraps of kenthal thinking the resistance was too low for the mvp2 but it still did not fire. Oh and it did not fire with the factory two coils that came pre installed.. The meter in the mvp2 just reads "non".

The MVP 2 has a protective function that will not let you use a resistance lower than 1 ohms or something close to that. Try doing a 1.2 ohm coil and it should fire.

I would think NoN would mean the atty isnt making a connection with the center pin.

I will try and build another coil and see if that helps. It was my first attempt at doing one after watching many YouTube videos. Soo probably didn't get it right

So I rebuilt my kanger atomizer and it works. It reads .9 ohms in the mvp2. So I'm starting to think I'm not getting battery contact on the v5
