I just got the phoenix so can't say long term (though I do have a newer ce3 which is almost identical which I've filled at least a dozen times so far with no problems), am a bit concerned about the longevity of the tubes since they are more brittle than the ce2s, but so far out of the box I am wildly happy with the phoenix no chance of that slight plastic taste you almost invariably get from the ce2s (even after modding), since no plastic parts are anywhere near the coil, don't need to keep them topped off to keep the wicks wet enough for a perfect hit every time(I find the ce2s need to be at least half full for a really clean hit), and no spitting of hot liquid which happens occasionally on ce2s. the one drawback is that the vapor isn't quite as warm, but I will take that tradeoff. I am an absolute convert already.

you need a syringe to fill the phoenix. you can leave the phoenix on its side or upside down for a day without any leaks whatsoever. the vape is constant, always the same on the phoenix. 10 times out of 10 i will take the phoenix vs fluxo. yes ive used the latest flux.

i like the xl 1.5ml the best, bye bye boge.

Plus one, I have only been vaping on 2 of them for the past 5 hours (can you say chain vaper) it's early yet but so far these are a hit in my book.

I prefer the fluxo over the Phoenix. The fluxo has much warmer vapor and I get better flavor from it. The Phoenix is working fine but I'm just not happy with the cool vapor and I don't seem to get the same flavor as I do from the fluxo. I experienced the same thing with the Stardust, cool vapor not as much flavor.

I mod my fluxo using the black O-ring and also have my drip tip sitting right on top of that O-ring and rarely have any flooding.

Have any extra O-rings for me :D

Other then the little tweaking that needs to be done to the ce2 (only need to tweak it once when first opened) I'm fairly happy with it.

I dont have any phoenix as of yet, so I can not comment on them.

With 24 hours of use of 4 Phoenixes they are leaps and bounds better than the Fluxos. With the Fluxos you always have to be aware of how you are holding your PV to ensure that juice is making contact with the wicks. MIT is not consistent with their quality control. The Supremes are a bit better than the Fluxo Deluxes but I cleaned and dry burned 2 of the 3 boxes of Supremes and several of them had coils that needed adjusting, ie wires too close together or not close enough. The 4 Phoenixes I have taken apart the coils look almost identical. They are also using many more wraps than MIT does with the Supremes. I find the Phoenixes deliver more vaper at a lower power setting than the Supremes (hope that makes sense). The Phoenix hits/vaping experience is much more consistent from a full tank to an empty one. The Supremes XLs start to have wicking issues after the tank gets near 1/2 full which requires turning the Fluxo to be almost held up side down for a few sec to re-supply the coil with more juice. The coils on the Fluxos seem to start to gunk up pretty fast too which means clean dry burn frequently. One of my Phx I have filled several times and coil still looks clean where with the Supreme after 2 fills the coil will start to blacken. The vapor is a bit cooler with the Phx and if you like hot vapor this is one area where the Fluxo is better. The Supremes can be filled without a needle where the Phx requires a needle. Because of this I fill up 3-4 of them for my work day or whenever I leave the house so I don't look like some drug addict. The Supreme also holds a bit more juice but I have never been able to vape a Fluxo dry.

My 3 boxes of Fluxo Supremes will be collecting dust along with my other cartos and atomizers. The Phoenix is the closest carto/atty to a hassle free vaping experience. If Chris can get the factory to implement an adjustable metal post so that the gap above the wicks can be easily changed on the fly to accommodate thicker juices/higher wattages/voltages the Phx would likely easily become the best selling/performing carto period!

Are there some required mods that need to be made to get these to work right? I have been using one of each since yesterday and I am underimpressed so far. Muted flavor and only "ok" vapor amount. Do I need to mod these? If so? What are they? Thanks ECF.

Same question for the ViVi Nova which I have yet to break out and try.

@ Paulie- check out the long threads for both items... I know there are some mods posted there for the fluxos. Not sure if anyone has modded the Phoenix yet.

@ Rob- Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one. :p Some are going to fiercely argue for each of these products. Either of them would be portable. I have not tried the Phoenix yet but those who have have talked about how leak proof they are. I am using the new fluxos and they have been great for not leaking. I suggest you get one box of each to see which one YOU like best. :)

The Phoenix Bottom coil that I started using yesterday has just died. Is this normal?

Not sure about normal but I have been alternating between four of them (what can I say I like to vape a lot of different flavors) and refilled a few times and so far all are working like champs, but I don't vape at high voltage, I tried them on my variable voltage units but found that the sweet spot for these things is in the 3.7 volt range so been sticking with that. other than the slightly cooler vape which doesn't bother me too much, I've run into no problems with these and will not be going back to ce2s.

To the OP, VMatt pretty much describes my experience with both also. I'm more partial to a bottom coil design because the vape is good all the way down to the last drop. with the fluxo's, you have to angle it to get the juice to the wick/coils. In my opinion, the flavor with the phoenix is better than what I get with the fluxo's.

Phoenix is pretty good. The vape is noticeably cooler then the Stardust (my benchmark - sorry, I haven't tried the C8), but the flavor is good - a little different somehow, but still good. No leaking and no dry hits. A bit of a wicking problem with the 100% VG juice, but not bad.

And... I don't think it's easily breakable. :)

Top coil works for some folks, while others like the bottom coil designs better. There are pros and cons to both, and it definitely has a lot to do with the juice you're using. I had very little luck with bottom coil cartos for some reason, I blame my fondness for VG and my chain vaping habits. The Fluxos have been my "I can vape anything on these" carts for a while now - I always keep some on hand just in case whatever shiny new thing I try doesn't work out. Yeah, they have their quirks, the occasional mouthful of juice If it's been rolling around in my bag, or if the cat knocks it off my desk - but it's easy to clean, burn and good to go (and they're fairly cheap so if one dies, just whip out a new one).

I do love the concept of bottom coil designs because they don't leak, and you do seem to get more "juice" enjoyment out of them - but again it all depends on what you're vaping.
