The way my daughter decribed it was the white cover came off andthen well the rest was history... Any ideas?

It is my understanding that the threaded end of the battery is glued into place at the factory. The glue job was likely weak and is now an exhibit of mechanical failure. The threaded connector is great if you are interested in making a DIY battery pack.

Oh if only I was that smart lol. I dont tinker with things too well much less electrical stuff.. Heck I can barely opperate a vcr or this computer. I just learned to do the e-mail and attachment stuff and as of last night adding pictures..
