I came to post my new guns and the old thread is closed!

The first of my new guns is . . . . .

Sig.P229.9mm.cut.jpg

I haven't gone to the range yet with it. Ammo shortage and all that. I've bought a couple more too, and haven't shot any of them yet.

Soon . . . soon.

You should have had it sent to me. We could have traded. Mine only has 10 rnd mags.

Not my choice. It was used.

Is that the law that changed? 10 rnd mags vs "high capacity"?

ETA: You need to move to Texas!

The last comment, well, yeah - it's been discussed. ;) :thumb:

They changed the mag laws a few years back. I had to register all my 10+ ones. :-x

This time is was threaded barrels. No mo'.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

No wonder Ruger and Colt moved away.

I'm not sure how I feel about silencers. It's a great idea. But, it adds so much length and weight up front. It seems it would be uncomfortable to me.

Ok. The Sig P229 is the most expensive gun I"ve ever bought. Next is the only 45 acp that I've ever bought.

The Ruger P90:

I wasn't even going to attach anything. It's just something I liked.

I have a P89. I love that thing. 15 per mag too <3

That laser is long gone. I hated it. I've got Crimson Trace grips on it now. It's my bedside piece.

I've shot other people's 45's and loved the feel of them. I love the gentle push back, as opposed to the snap of a 9mm. I can hardly wait to finally get to the range and try it out.

Archon Type B, threaded barrel - happy happy happy. Such a smooth and easy thing to shoot.
What an intriguing design.

If you like a .45, you'll like the P90. The 89 is a .9 but much smoother than many smaller models. My EDC is also a Ruger (LC9S Pro), and it's great for carry, but much more typical of the smaller models that have become popular recently. The P89 is just too big for me to haul around on a regular basis, but it's a great to shoot with.

My 9's are all very heavy (to absorb recoil). I have an RIA 1911, a Sig P229, and a S&W 5906. All heavy guns. Too heavy for carry. I don't know what it is about it, but I love, love, love to shoot my 5906.

For carry, I have my Walther PK380. It's the best carry gun ever for anyone with weak hands.

All I have now is an Eastwing hammer in the truck:) I wish I hadn't sold my pistols years back, I had a m1911 gov't , a S&W model 19 6" bbl .357, and a little ruger 10-22. The laws in MD now would make me pay for classes and a yearly fee, plus them having all your information. I do keep a Rem. 870 in the house.
