Hope you bought a low profile 2.1 and not the earlier standard 2.1 with a higher atty base that was designed for carto's, atty's or modified atty's to go down into their deeper catch cup to reach the 510.

I could make a long list of the original atty's I bought for my Reos... years ago. But a problem with input from me now days is your quest for a "modern" atty that will fit on it. IOW, I haven't followed any small diameter atty's below 22mm-25mm-30mm for years, and none but mesh atty's for the past couple of years. Your limiting factors will be a diameter small enough to sit on top with no overhang (the Nuppin' is 18mm), their AFC('s) being DL capable or modifiable for it, and being BF ready for squonking.

I first started with MTL BF atty's that I drilled the AFC larger until better/higher quality attys' were found or came out (RM2's, RM3's, Viscious Ant Cyclones. ERA's, etc). I'd suggest a search to see what is available these days in 16mm-18mm BF atty's and then go from there.

Originals I doubt are still available, but you might still be able to get a clone Origen Sweet 16 (16mm) from China. Thre originals were $100+ (I have 4 of them), but the clones were no more than $10-$15 IIRC. They can be either single or double coil. With both AFC's wide open they are still a restricted DL draw though unless you drill the AFC's larger. They can be a great little flavor atty.

Yes its an LP.. Thanks for taking the time and effort to reply. Much appreciated. It takes an 18490 battery - any tips on the best ? ( I'll probably be running 0.3 Ohm at lowest). I googled mooch /18490 and didnt come up with much

Sweet! What atty is that and what battery are you using?

Back in the days when I used the 18490's I only bought authentic button top AW IMR 1100mAh and 1200mAh for my Reos. And only from RTD Vapor because his could be trusted to be authentic. No idea if they are even available anymore, but I doubt it. As for Mooch, the last 18500 batts data from him I have on file rated the 18500 Basen Black 1100mAh at 15A CDR, and an 18500 Efest Metallic Purple 1000mAh at 10A CDR. Note that the Basen wrap rates it as 22A... its common for some MFG's to overrate their batts (IMO a sales gimmick that can be dangerous for those who buy and trust their rating). Again, no idea if they are still available either.

Since a .3Ω build would tax the battery @ 12A-13A @ 3.7VDC (14A @ 4.2), the Efest should not be used at all with that build IMO. You're going to have to find out what 18490/18500 batts you can get for starters. Then try to find out what there true CDR is, do the math to see if they can handle a .3Ω and still have a little extra safety leeway like the Basen does above (2A-3A). You might also have to add more resistance to your build to find a battery that can handle it (ie .4Ω, .45Ω, .5Ω, etc).

Luck.

Thanks. Since my post I've sourced 2 lots of new old stock of the AW 1100 mah button tops from 2 different retailers. ( I spent 3 hours plus when I should've been working :sneaky: ) : One was a vape shop that had them in a back room. He put them on the charger out of the box and they read close to 4.2V straight up so I'm hopeful.
As for my build- I'm careful. Always do my Ohms Law calculations on the Vape Tool app. Looking at the cdr of this battery theres no way I'd build below 0.5 Ohms. (8A at 4V). My original thought of 0.3 was optomistic - aint gonna happen.
Anyway I'm pretty excited. When the new Grand LP and the Mini 2.1 LP arrive I'll post a pic. Got 3 different doors for the grand and 2 for the mini:banana:

Fingers crossed for you. But keep in mind if you continue to hunt for the AW's that there were endless lots of fake AW BT batteries. That's why most of us only bought from the very few trusted dealers that we knew had authentic AW batts. Somewhere buried or lost in the archives of ECF some of the threads that gave clues on how to supposedly tell the difference might still exist if they were not eliminated.

Yeah I was reading up about that yesterday and that the AW factory burnt down a while back. My problem is that I've got so few choices - I can't find the Basen black or the Efest metallic purple 18500 anywhere locally and postage of Lithium Ion batteries internationally is prohibited unless "they are installed in the equipment they operate" Australian vapers can get hold of the common batteries easily enough but 18490s and 500s are tough. Maybe Flick might know something helpful here...In the mean time I'll keep my eyes open
