I usually rinse them with hot water, let the parts soak in mild dishes-soap solution for ten minutes, rinse them again and then let it sit in plain water for another hour or so to make sure the soap smell is gone.I have a few o-rings that won't let go of my banana-juice smell, do you boil the o-rings too?</blockquote>
