You put the battery's in backwards and it fires but does not damage the board. The board has reverse polarity protection. You cannot protect every thing in series mods 100%. They will fail in some way if you put the cells in backwards, this goes for every series box not just the IPV.If you put one normal and one backwards in most series mods it will hard short and vent your battery's because of how the sleds are wired keep that in mind also.</blockquote>
