What I call secret society or elitist gear (including BB's at first anyway) that to get at all you had to play games for, had to jump thru hoops, get on a waiting list for up to a couple of years, score one in a flash sale and/or could only buy via FB or the like (that I will never use) to drive up their demand and cost was gear that didn't interest me at all that I could live without. Pride of ownership varies, but it's human nature that having elite gear automatically raises the pride bar for most of us. However (for example) I have ahellofalot of atty's that cost anywhere from $25-$300, and $25, $50, $100 or even $300 elite atty's with similar fluid dynamics can all be built to do the same thing just as well as or almost as well as the others. I preferred to buy original authentic quality gear (not clones) that I thought was the best at the time for my vaping style. If it did do the job for me it mattered not what it cost for me to have pride in that gear. Case in point... I only run a couple of dozen plus mesh atty's these days and except for six of them on mods that cost $100 or less. These atty's were mostly bought in the $25-$40 range, but I did get a couple on close out for as little as $13 instead of their $35 retail. I wouldn't trade any of them for a $300 elite atty.

[QUOTE="Spydro, post: 22028635, member: 132438"] Thanks for the info Charlie... some things that I didn't know. Since I never took any real interest in the BB itself I also never took much interest in the different accessories that came along for them either that were modifications, improvements, for different vaping styles, etc. So without a ton of backtracking research I wouldn't have a clue what to buy. It's WAY TOO late in my game to get into BB's or any other new gear now. If you'll remember I turned in my tarnished Shinyitis Badge a ways back in this thread. ;) Besides, if I saw original authentic gear that I wanted, I also wanted to be able to buy it "now", and I didn't care what it cost.
