it's half of an emergency flashlight. I melted cut-away plastic into the open end to seal the "base". Reinforced the weak spots , wired the switch to act as a safety( don't want it firing in a pocket), carved out a center channel to fit a 18650 battery, added spring and connectors, added firing button in top( prolly gonna move that to one side, don't like it on top), gave the whole thing a clever paint job to look like tarninshed metal, and then got to work on the atomizer. This cost me less than $10 to build, but took just over 12 hours to complete.

Has anybody got any junk around that they wanna see turned into a mod? I do this for fun.

I also build backpack sound systems, gasbikes, coilguns, lighting equipment of all shapes and sizes, and whatever else I can make out of the stuff I get my hands on.

I digress, I'm a posterchild for A.D.D.
right now I'm designing a device to test the mAh rating of Li-Ion cells. It's a hoot.
Thanx for the likes and the comments ppl.

Much love,

CG

I as well enjoy making "junk mods" my only problem is I can't seem to find good "junk" parts to mod :|.... Lol anyways. Props on the defcon-1 ! It is most definitely an eye opener!

Here's what I found to work the best for me after 9 months of experimenting with various setups...

Just the other weekend, I pulled out my Joye 510 baby battery and was enjoying it. After all this time of HV vaping, I found it relaxing. Kudos to you mevap for finding the right setup that works.

I love a little skinny auto vape once in a while. Lets me have a "smoke" on the porch like old times and I find it quite relaxing as well. :)

This is only what I carry with me

Riva 510 (a 3.7v one)+Boge, Joye 510 manual+Boge, Vapor4Life(KR808D-1) manual+V4L WOW carto
All with drip tips as mouthpieces
The Riva usually has a black carto and I do own a Riva 901 cone to fit over a carto nicely but don't bother.
NoSmokeVA.com PCC for 510 but I also store KR8 cartos and one each 510 & KR8 battery in it (it cannot charge KR8s)

And I also carry several small juice bottles. All fits in an ethnic fabric cross-shoulder little purse with the Riva battery additionally in a Chinese cloth covered lipstick case and wrapped around its middle to keep the button away from the sides.

I vape the two slim models because I like to vape contrasting flavors. One has a cocoa tobacco and one has a very sweet vanilla. I can just pick up whichever I feel like and each refreshes my taste buds for the other. I use the Riva for some bigger hits and as a very portable backup battery.

At home add a nice Joye 510 mega xl manual battery, 2 3.7v mod boxes from ECF modders and a clone Ego 3-stage battery (3.2, 3.7. 4.2v). Nothing exotic yet though the one box mod is pretty - clear blue with an extra bright blue LED.

I also own lots of charger cables, several 4 port 2amp USB to AC adapters for charging, and an 11,000mah portable USB supply which I can charge up ahead of time (needs 7 hours of charging) in case a storm is coming and I suspect we may lose power or for other charging away from AC. Before I started vaping we lost power once for over 4 days so I am paranoid about power loss.

OMG dormouse thanks for reminding me about the 4 day power outage...damn, something I must consider for my new vaping habit too! I went nuts those 4 days last October when I had no power, but at that time was not into ecigs yet. Now I will take into consideration having some kind of battery on hand that will get me through a day or more of power outages! Thanks!
