Q, I love you bro... but I disagree with this assessment!! :p

Let's let everyone know what EXACTLY those numbers in the battery mean. We will use one example battery, the 18350.

18350 - The 18 equals the diameter in milimeters, the 35 equals the height of the battery in milimeters and finally the 0 refers to the shape of the battery, in this case "round"

And I'm not sure what you're chain vaping and getting these run times, but I can say these numbers would be far less on all counts.

:wub:

Nach, we know that... what those Nos. mean in a battery config. The runtime I stated is a "general" guideline -- to typically know what we can get from an 18xxx series battery, especially for a newbie. Another way of looking at it would be the mAh... but then it'd be too much for a new vaper.

That really made me feel good. My day is 19 hours and most of the time I'm working on my computer and vaping every 30 mins. Although I can plug my batteries and charge them but I'm lazy. Actually, my Twin 18650 VV ThroatHit has made me lazy. On a single full charge, it works for 3 to 4 days without another charge. So yeah, I'm kinda lazy at hooking up the batteries every few hours. I guess, 18650 will last me a whole day with my style vaping. At least, it will be good for 8 hours, that's confirmed :D

Yep, I easily get 9+ hrs from a Panny NCR18650PD

I've always "heard" to look at the mAh rating to determine hours of use.

Ex: 700 mAh = 7 hours

Obviously these numbers can't be solid as there are many factors that play into the run time of a battery.

I'd cut that by half for a "general guideline" of runtime ;)

Take this as a general guideline for Runtime:
For chain-vaping:
18350 = 3.5 hrs. (+1 hrs for normal vaping)
18500 = 5.0 hrs. (+1.5 hrs for normal vaping)
18650 = 6.5 hrs. (+2 hrs for normal vaping)

That explains why the 18500 is round at both ends!

I'm not sure i have the hang of this.

I kid. I kid.

For the new folks just tuning in, check out Baditude's Battery blog because there's more than just form factor and mah to deal with. Respect your batteries 'n know your Amps, folks!

I would agree with this more if it were flipped around a bit...

Take this as a general guideline for Runtime:
For NORMAL-vaping:
18350 = 3.5 hrs. (-1 hrs for CHAIN vaping)
18500 = 5.0 hrs. (-1.5 hrs for CHAIN vaping)
18650 = 6.5 hrs. (-2 hrs for CHAIN vaping)
