As promised...here is the review of the Pig Cig from LeCig. This is a must have for any Vapor King fan. If you use a KR808D-1...this is something you will want to add to your stack of batteries! (I know you have a stack of batteries, we all do!)

Works with GreenCig, KR808D-1 and Green Smoke (with included adaptor)

Thank you for the nice review
I'm a 510 guy, and went the ego/riva way
have you, or anyone esle, compared the 2 types ?
does that 1/2 volt difference noticable ?
or is it a difference in carto types ?

You're welcome!

I've been using the T-Rex, the eGo and the Inferno (all 510 threads) along with the PigCig (KR808D-1 threads) so I can compare them for you...

There is a pretty noticeable difference...the difference is much more noticeable with a full charge because I believe it holds at 4.2v for a good while after being charged. Once it drops to 3.7v you can still notice that you are getting a slightly different taste and if you are vaping a high nic juice...you'll get more throat hit.

Overall...if you aren't already invested in the KR808D-1 threads...I wouldn't go and switch unless you are unhappy with what you currently have or if you want a cheap way to get a good unit for GreenCig cartos.

i'm not usually a fan of big batteries but that is one nice looking pv.

I'll be honest...before I went down this path on a quest to review as many "eGo style" eCigs as possible...I was against the idea...but I think they have their place and I have enjoyed them all, but they are all very simular.

$30 isn't that bad for a unit like this though.

Out of curiosity, where are you getting the claims of 4.2v? It is been confirmed that most every eGo style device puts out a pulse regulated 3.2 - 3.3v, so this would be a marked improvement over that.

I would be all for seeing the results of a battery test on this thing, as I don't believe anyone has tested this exact model just yet.

While this is "eGo Style" it is not a clone of the eGo, it is basically a big KR808D-1 battery and as such, requires 808 cartos. As you know, the 808 vapes at true 3.7v (only 3.7v battery that actually holds 3.7 through most of the charge that I know of). Most 808 batteries at full charge put out 4.2v for a very short period of time. This unit seems to put out the higher voltage for a bit longer then a regular 808 battery.

So...think of this as an 650mah 808 battery that looks similar to an eGo but is in no way like an eGo electronically.

Gotcha'. I just assumed it was an eGo style battery w/ an 808 connection. Still, inquiring minds want to see a meter on that thing! ;)

You know...I have a meter that my dad gave me...I use it regularly to measure ohms but never volts. If you want to shoot a PM my way on how to go about measuring the voltage without killing the battery ( I once tried to measure volts and a battery went to it's grave and haven't since) feel free and I will post the results :)

Cheers!

You know when your holding the button down with no carto or atty the only juice your using is the tiny amt needed to light the LED. So you might as well skip that.

Its like turning on a light with no light bulb ..... No electricity is being drawn :)

Well look at that...learn something new everyday :) so much for draining some of the full charge juice.

How about your IPOD headphones or even an 8 ohm speaker (not a 2 or 4 ohm speaker) and listen to the PigCig "sing". Most cheap headphones have a high enough resistance not to harm the battery.
Ummmmmmmm goes the PigCig. I don't believe a D1 bat will "sing".

hey buddy...I'm not sure what you are saying... what do you mean sing? Have you done this with your headphones?

Got a bookshelf speaker that is 4 to 8 ohms, and wire leads?
Yes, and have looked at the output of a PigCig with a Tek TDS310 o'scope.
Speaker/headphones is easier :)
There is an output "signal", not straight DC. Try it and tell me what you think the frequency is.
No cheating by hooking it up to the line in on your sound card :)

Hey Sense,

So i am a KR808D-1 user. Its the only PV i use. i have a few batts from V4L and use cartos.

What would you say for me? Buy this thing? I like the idea of a longer charge but not keen on the fat batt look.

Would i just use my existing 808 cartos?

thanks for any info :)

BTW, nice to see another philly boy ;)
