Held one of these at local B&M today. It's a lot smaller than it looks in pictures. It's really not a hole lot bigger than a 18350 battery. Pretty cool little mod. Can't wait to see some one strip the chrome plating off down to brass. That vision eternity looks nice on it.
How would you do that without scratching it up? It'd be kind of steampunk. :)

saw one of those at a local B&M... propritary carto threading.

The style is that of a "vest pipe" that you would stick in your coat pocket when going to an opera.

Thank You Kena. Proprietary kills it for me. I liked the idea of the touch sensor and thought it would be a good kick around pipe for my dad but not if he can't put a Vivi Nova or other 510 type tank.

Hey all, haven't read this thread yet but plan to soon. A quick browse shows you all have some really nice pipe set-ups. I've wanted an e-pipe for a long time, I lust over the epipemods selection about once a month, but price has held me back. Just put in an order for the Smoktech chrome pipe since it dropped to $28.49 and am pretty excited. I actually really like the look, but may remove the chrome down to the brass, throw a few gears on it, and call it steampunk lol.

Wondering if there's any sites to get affordable mouthpieces and stems. I want a long churchwarden for one, but would prefer something cheaper than what epipemods offers. Epipemods and Jazzepipe are the only epipe accessory places I know about. In the meantime I'll use my RBA drippers along with a Cherryvapes universal and various drip tips, sheilds, adaptors, and accessories to fashion stems, which I already do with regular mods when I'm bored. Actually a few days ago I made a really long mashup of about a dozen various pieces for a long stem and realized I really need an epipe lol.

Jerms, I have a few churchwardens in my stash. I haven't gotten around to modding them yet, but I can hook you up. I'll PM ya. Hope all is well, been a while. :toast:

Ebay seems to have quite a few pipe stems, but they need to be modified to fit a 510 drip tip hole air-tightly.

I have purchased two types of cheapo but quite adequate pipe stems from china. I have links to both of them in a thread I started here, a few posts down:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-pipe-models/425578-simplest-e-pipe-ever.html

Note that the MINI leaks air around the drip tip part and needs to be sealed with something to avoid a super airy draw (I used a hot glue gun). Also there is a minimum order of $20 from china-sells.com.

Hi, my name is akramanee and a newbie here and have been vaping for the past 2 years now. I'm inspired after reading many posts here on epipe mods and i have started planning for my first epipe mod. Hope to get good advise and exchange ideas here. I'm not a wood crafter so i'm starting with a battery+switch unit first. The idea is to make an independent and portable Batt+switch unit so that it can be inserted into a pipe bowl. Here's my design :

switchdesign2.jpg

No soldering required for shankless poker style pipe. May need some soldering and wires for other bent/shank style pipe. The bottom magnet is to hold the battery (nipple +ve) in place and also to a thin metal plate affixed at the bottom of the pipe bowl. I'm working on the quick prototype and hope to post the pictures once done.

Here're the photos of my quick prototype of the portable/independent Batt+switch unit. Have not tried to fire it yet. Need some epoxy work to put them together. It seems simple in theory and I think it should work.

switch_pic_final.jpg

1. Quick cut work using metal saw. Aluminium tube using pill capsule tube.
2. Female 510 thread. Cut the top part of 510 to ego connector.
3. Magnet at bottom. Hold battery (+ve) and hold the unit to thin metal plate affixed at bottom pipe bowl
4. Top view battery -ve where to place epipemod switch
5. Completed unit with epipe mod switch
6. Completed unit with modified wind cap without pipe bowl. The epipemod switch magnet hold the wind cap.

(Edit : Urghh.. Made mistake when I cut the tube. +ve / -ve should be the other way round. But i think it should still work)
