Ok, bought the piper vv pt from ya'll about 3 weeks ago. I have noticed a behavior that has me puzzled. When in 3.7 or 4.3 mode if I take a long hit the button will start to blink and it cuts off. Is this an overload protection? I'm using 510T tank atties though I have noticed the same behavior when I was dripping with a regular 510 atty. And its not a constant behavior, sometimes it will do it, sometimes it won't.

Oh, and on a side note, might want to let people know the center conductor can get pushed in, and will need tweezers or forceps to pull it back out. Be careful though, I pulled mine out of the body and about an inch of connecting wire came with it. I was able to push it all back in and it still works. And yes, the above behavior was happening before this incident and it has not increased or decreased afterwards.

Hrm, weird things abound.... I tried it with the carto I think is acting up (in another post) and on 3.2 and 3.7 it didn't cut off after 10 seconds. When I tried to switch to 4.1 however, it wouldn't switch, dropped right back to 3.2 and would go back up. Switch out the carto and now the pt will shut off after 10 seconds..... I seriously need a multi-meter that will measure down to 1 ohm so I can test these carto's....

Ok, I *think* the problem has been resolved. These LR DCHV carto's are pulling too much amperage through my usb connection. With the sr 510T atties I wasn't having an issue but they were pulling only 1.15 amps (3.7*3.7/3.2 for watts, then watts/voltage to get amps). These LR DCHV's are pulling 2.47 amps, more than double. So I *think* that maybe whats causing the problem with my pt. I know that I get a warmer hit off my e-power than my pt, even when its set to 4.2 v, and the amperage is probably why.
