    INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone and welcome to Pizza Dave’s vape reviews. Today I will be going over everything you need to know about the Cultura 100w mod by Vzone. I always keep my reviews unbiased, but I must mention that this was sent to me by BuyBest for review. Vzone is a company that has been coming out with several mods with one common denominator, and its style. Love them or hate them, Vzone doesn’t make a “boring” looking device, and the Cultura is no exception. This device is a 100w regulated mod powered by a single 20700 battery or 18650 via adapter. This is a small, well built device that stands out in the crowd. I don’t like to judge a book by its cover, but Vzone’s packaging is on point. Let’s dive right in, see how it operates, and I will give my final thoughts down at the bottom.

    OPERATION

The Cultura does feature a conventional menu system, but it is still user friendly to operate and comes as second nature with little time in hand.

Operation and menu systems are as follows:

    - 5 clicks on, 5 clicks off (cool animation at startup as well)

    - 3 clicks highlight the top left ohms on the screen. From here you can use up and down to highlight other areas which open sub menus. Here are those menus.

    - Resistance value – set and adjust resistance

    - Ohms symbol – lock or unlock resistance

    - NORM – This menu is what they call “taste mode”. Set the preheat from normal, hard, soft, or user. The user curve preheat is set up very cool and has a little test mode where you can view this curve as you vape it. It is neat and has a very high tech feel to it.

    - Coil material (top right) – Set between Kanthal, SS316, Titanium, Nickel, or TCR as seen in photo below.

    - “M” – 3 different memory settings

    - Battery level – Shows device information such as hardware, software, and serial name.

    - Hold the fire button and up button together to lock the adjustment buttons.

    HOW IT VAPES

During my test period I used several different atomizers. It ranged from running 30w on a Galaxies MTL RTA up to 60W on an Augvape Intake RTA. Battery life while running at 30w was incredible off a single 20700 and got me through 2 full work days. At 60w I used the battery up in a little over my work day, but it seemed to be quite efficient. I hardly touched the TC functions because I just don’t vape in TC enough to give an educated review on that. I did a dry burn on a single coil atty with a SS Clapton build and found that it didn’t burn the cotton even when I turned up to 450 degrees. It was slightly dark but did not burn. I am not a knowledgeable TC vapor but have done some research and it seems that the factory SS settings will run cooler than they should, but with some adjustments to the TCR it can operate to the desired temperature of your liking and provide a smooth output as it should. As for the wattage mode performance, it has a slight delay, but appears to put out the power that it is set to all the way until the battery voltage starts to dip below the voltage necessary to reach the selected wattage.

    FINAL THOUGHTS

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed using this device. I think what stood out to me most was how well-built the device is. Yeah, some of the styling choices are out there, but the feel of this in hand coupled with how well it operates made this something I enjoyed carrying with me daily. I can see this best suited for someone that wants to run atomizers in that 30-75w range. This will have enough battery life to get through the day and be highly portable at the same time. As for pros of the device, I think the largest stand out is how good it feels in hand. It gives a sense of value when something feels solidly built, and this shows in the styling of the body, the buttons, the battery door, and even the screen. I had a hard time finding cons to put on the list other than subjective ones. I can list the adjustment buttons as a con as they are easy to bump, but that can be remedied by locking them. Another con is the light up panels on the side of the device. They seem tacky, and the plastic that covers them is prone to getting marked up. Other than those small cons, the only other thing is the styling. One might find it hard to find one that fits their style, so it would be nice to see some of these released with basic finishes or tones rather than graphic or metallic side panels. The manual that comes with the device could be a bit better. It doesn’t show a lot about all the menus and it takes some fiddling to find everything. I can safely say that I find more pros with this device than cons. This device feels like it is built to last and is a great compact mod by Vzone.

    PROS

    - Compact design

    - Well-built

    - Solid hinging battery door

    - Lots of adjustments

    - Affordable price

    - ½ watt power adjustments (much better than .1 watt and it also round robins)

    ______________________________________________________________________________

    CONS

    - Light up side panels show marks and can’t be shut off

    - Adjustment buttons can be bumped easily

    - Atomizers over 24mm will overhang due to a tapered top of the mod

Thank you everyone for reading my review and thank you to Buy Best for sending it my way for review! I am seeing this listed for about $45-60 from several vendors online, which seems to be on par for what it is. Buy Best has them on pre-sale for $55.47 and is slated to have them in stock soon.

REVIEW CRITERIA: I use each item for about two weeks to ensure I have collected enough data to adequately write a review. I use the same e liquid in tanks or rdas throughout all my reviews to ensure that I am comparing apples to apples between all modern equipment. I do not post reviews until I feel confident that I have used it enough to give an educated review. The reason I started doing reviews was due to poor purchasing decisions in my vaping infancy about two years ago. Back then, I purchased several different pieces of hardware without really enjoying it and I hope my reviews can guide people into spending their hard-earned money more wisely than I did! ****Keep in mind that some items I receive may be pre-release and not in retail packaging. Quality may be less than the finished product and what is in the package may differ from the retail package as well.
