So i'm about to go to Wild Adventures (I live in Georgia) and I'm feeling a bit weird about going there with my Nemesis. To get into the park you have to go through a metal detector, So i feel a bit embarrassed/uncomfortable about bringing my mod with me. Any of you guys feel uncomfortable taking your set-up out in public or in similar situations. Or do you have any interesting stories about what's happened when you did? :vapor:

If you're fortunate enough to be in a state where they aren't liberal nannys, I would say go for it and be casual! In Mass, I'm real conscious of where I am and stay discreet whenever I'm indoors. I happen to use KR808 / 510 models, which have dual effect of 1) looking like a cigarette (negative) 2) being real easy to hide (positive)

General advice is just to be casual, not blow vape in people's faces, don't be a ..../too proud (like I assume you would in any other scenario) and you should be fine.

I wouldn't take my favorite mod to a place that might be weird about mods if I think there is a threat of it being confiscated -- due to ignorance.

Ego's and twists are good for that.

The good news -- I haven't heard many stories of problems----but there was one sad man who lost a $250 mod that was being held for him at a similar type of establishment....it disappeared and was never recovered after several follow-up attempts.

At one time it was suggested to take a pre-addressed stamped padded envelope so one could mail home any contested devices at airports and such. That hasn't been necessary in the US for quite awhile, but the concept could work for any questionable situation.

Apart from places where it's illegal (SG, Dubai) I don't think you should be uncomfortable at all.

I mean, you are talking about the US, right? We still pretend that we have freedoms here, right?

If they give you a hard time, just call FOX on your cellphone, while you're still in front of the jerk who is giving you a hard time.

I never hide it unless it's somewhere I know you can't vape/smoke anyway. I vape all day long most places I go and if people want to stare, I make sure to blow the biggest plumes I can and then stick it in my pocket....most people give me weird looks for putting what appeared to create smoke right in my pocket without worrying about catching myself on fire. lol

I would feel uncomfortable in a enclosed eating establishment. In an elevator or any other confined space where I travel with non-vapers.
On the street I carry my mech mods openly (and use them).
I am aware that people can smell my vapor so try to keep vaping to places I am not going to infringe on others in any way.
I will vape indoors (if not in a crowd). I vape on my jobsites (indoors office buildings mostly) but try not to blow big clouds there.
I have seen others with mech mods in SF but mostly outdoors where people smoke anyways.
I think a good rule of thumb is to be aware of those around you, and don't vape where you may infringe on others (even if it smells nice).
Personally I don't like it when people wear heavy perfume or aftershave in confined spaces. I see vaping as similar to that, and try to treat others the way I wish to be treated.
