hey guys! so a friend of mine wanted her own e cig and i figured i'd give her the old ego-c upgrade and get the mvp v2 as my primary.

currently my setup is the ego-c upgrade along with a kanger mini protank 2. i've found that, depending on the type of juice, that my atomizers need to be cleaned every 2-3 days due to clogging/gunking issues. i've had nights out where my vape is working fine and after chain vaping the crap out of it, the vapor gets thinner and eventually it becomes nearly unvapeable (not a word, but you get my drift).

with a mod like the mvp 2, i'd be stepping up my voltage by nearly 2 full volts, and i was thinking with that perhaps the reason why i've been getting clog issues is because the ego-c doesn't heat up my mini pt enough to fully vaporize the juice. i'm hoping the mvp 2 will solve this problem, and if so, i would have no issues parting with my ego-c completely. and since i'll be switching to android soon, i'm gonna need that battery charging feature as well.

as always, thanks in advance. yall are awesome

Spacenoodle - I just got mine on Saturday and I absolutely LOVE it!!! My current set up is the MVP 2 with an EVOD. My juices seem to have more flavor to them as compared to what I was getting when I was using my itaste VV (which I passed on to my husband for him to kick the analog habit) :)

From what I've read so far, and also what I've experienced since getting my MVP, it could just be a matter of fine tuning the voltage or watts. I started on the ego too, and ran into some of the same problems with clogging and such. But switching to the MVP, I really haven't had the problems.

But stepping up 2 volts? Now, I don't have a Protank, I've got an EVOD, but they use the same coils. Now, if you've been using the ego, not the twist, I believe I saw it's like 3.3 or 3.4 volts. If you're using a 2.2ohm atty, (what I use), at 3.3 volts, you'd be around 4.95 watts. 3.4 volts would get you approx 5.25 watts. If you were to step up the voltage to 5.3 volts, you'd be at 12.77 watts. I only bring this up because I was playing around, trying to find out what would work for me as to best watts. 7 to 7.5 watts, to me, seems perfect for what I'm vaping. For poop and grins the other night, I jacked it up to 9 watts. Two hits later, I was trying to wash the burnt taste out of my mouth as fast as I could.

YMMV of course, but from personal experience, more power doesn't always equal better performance.
