Pretty much wasn't celebrated here at my swamp seein as neither one of us is a dad here
I slept in till 930. Got a card hand drawn from my daughter. went to mc Donalds for my free breakfast. Then church . Afterwards I got a new hat from the church store as a father's day gift from my daughter. Worked in my car to keep it running. Went to the pool with the family then made dinner.

I still have 3 real friends from my teens I still keep in touch with often ( 37+ years now )... others from then have moved away and of course a couple of passed on. I've also meet new ones in the last twenty years or so that I also include as real friends. All of these I do feel as if they are family in that sense of the word... brothers and sisters all. As for friends that I first met at work... there are only two one was a co-worker and business partner ( was instead of is simply because he's retired is all ) and another started as a client at work. There are of course the standard type of friends ( not the family type I guess )... they aren't always to be counted on but typically are fun to be with.
We went to my sisters this year for Father's Day... but also to celebrate her own birthday which was on Weds....
We had a great dinner... some BBQ ribs and pulled pork, red potatoes and onions, baked beans, cole slaw... and of course some birthday cake and ice cream. Also got to see both of my niece's which is always great....
I just received an email from my Sis with a pic of my Dad, her and myself ( taken by one of the niece's )... I'll crop it and upload it in a bit. In fact, it's one of my only recent pics that I have ( I bet my Sis and folks have more... but I didn't get copies of those ).
Here we are... all fat and happy after the meal...

Sounds like an awesome day. As for those people who you can't count on those are not friends in my book those are acquaintances
