She's doing pretty well considering. The Doc took the stitches out of the elbow she landed on... the splintering at the break up by the shoulder is moving back together good. The Doc said tomorrow she can take the immobilization sling off for a little and let her arm hang down... he said it likely won't extend straight because the muscle will need a bit of stretching back out some... and she's suppose to do "curls" with it as long as she keeps the top of the arm from moving and twisting the lower arm also... Thursday will make it the 3rd week since it happened.
She's been making fun of only being able to shower her bottom half.... and making silly comments about the black garbage sack they use to keep the arm and sling dry...
Her biggest issue is keeping her balance... She was already a bit wobbly from a knee surgery about 3 years back... and not having the right arm has made it more of a challenge.
Onion, carrots, one anaheim and one serrano chili and some garlic sauteed with some chicken. Add lentils and stir. Add whatever stock you want to use (I use my homemade turkey stock) to cover. Throw in some chopped cilantro and diced tomato. Season with some turmeric, cayenne and black pepper. Cover and simmer until the lentils are almost done then add in one bunch of chopped kale. 10 minutes later it's done.
