I seen the other day that a few here build their on coils. So my question is: What would a good coil setup be for a Russian ninety-one (ohms, guage wire, wick material, etc.) It will be used on a Provar1 and/or a SVD.

Yeah... you aren't alone ( on the later and later )....
At work... it's now not letting me vote until afternoon sometime. At first I was doing as I got there, then one day I was busy and voted later and now I'm paying for it...
... at home, it's now after 11pm ( or more now ) before I can vote...
It doesn't work like that... its a personal preference thing and everyone one has their own...
I personally like micro-coils built to 1.8Ω using 10 wraps of 30ga kanthal around a two millimeter rod... then I thread a two mm silica wick through the coil. A lot of folks have switched over to natural cotton which they've first boiled instead of the silica wick.
