A 'liked' post does not mean you've got that number (or that you yourself are even liked). The first person to pick a number gets that number whether it's marked on the board or not. When we 'Like' your picks that means one of the five helpers are marking them on the board. If there are any mistakes/conflicts, we will reply to your post. So check back a while after you pick to see if we noted any problems.

*Please do not edit your pick posts.

*If someone already took your number, or an error was made, please wait for a helper to post the error. Please "Reply With Quote" to the helper's post with your new pick.

* These are simple rules that MUST be followed. Failure to follow these 3 MAIN rules will result in the current round picks null and void and a "round timeout".....NO EXCEPTIONS

It doesn't work like that... its a personal preference thing and everyone one has their own...

I personally like micro-coils built to 1.8Ω using 10 wraps of 30ga kanthal around a two millimeter rod... then I thread a two mm silica wick through the coil. A lot of folks have switched over to natural cotton which they've first boiled instead of the silica wick.

What you talkin bout willis?

I'm ohm/watts challenged so I don't know what you said.

Ohms is a number that represents the resistance of the coil... ( sort of like your resistance to learning simple math which is all ohms law is :D )

The more resistance it has ( for a given voltage )... the more watts it has.... watts is sort of what tells you how hot the coil will get. The higher wattage... the hotter the coil ... the hotter the coil, the more ( and faster ) the e-liquid gets vaporized

Another way to look at it... no math... but a crude ( inaccurate ) analogy

Take your two hands and put them lightly together... and rub them back and forth real quick. They'll get a little warm but not much. Now put them together tighter than before and rub them real fast again... they get warmer than before. When you pressed them together tighter... you gave them more resistance so they got hotter.

The speed you rubbed... is like voltage. How tight you pressed together is the resistance.... the combination of those gives you the equivalent of the wattage ( ie the heat )

Yes I definitely like micro coils better. I guess my biggest thing was the ohms and what gauge wire. I definitely do not want to get into sub ohms mainly for safety reasons as well as the fact they will not work on regulated devices (I don't think). I am not after huge clouds of vapor. Mainly after flavor and throat hit is always a plus but not a necessity.

Rdsok,Wow, I think I understand what you just said, thank you for breaking it down to my level.

Yeah...

I'm not into the high power mods.... so that size wire is about right for me. If I were doing the higher power stuff... I'd want the larger gauge wire ( lower number ) so I can have more surface area to vaporize from and not burn the e-liquid. The thirty gauge wire I use is about perfect for coils like being used in a Protank head ( or similar )...

I like single coil stuff... it's just easier and I can do the same with them as any dual coil with less work...

For a dripper... my favorite is still the IGO-L ... a great larger mod sized dripper. For a rebuildable tank... I'm not certain you can beat the Kayfun and/or Lite styles.... GotVapes carries both ( the Kayfun styles are clones )

A helper will announce a new round of picks at random times, so check back often and keep track of what round you've already made picks in.

Rounds may last anywhere from 16 seconds to 36 hours based solely on our whim. There are no rules. Life is unfair. Good luck!

We call it a "reset" when we go into a new round. You still keep all of your previous picks. If you miss a round you do not get to back and make up picks. You can make 1 set of picks for the current round ONLY

The game ends sometime Saturday afternoon/evening. We then announce the winning pick.

Play to win! There will be no PIFing of number picks. The winner of any contest can PIF the prize if they choose to do so Here.

ALL Birthday Poopies will get additional picks on their ECF listed Birthday :w00t: (1 birthday per year please :D)

Theses aren't rules (but they really are). They are guidance (that must be followed). And they may change at any time. Without prior notice. Maybe even without ensuing notice.
