This afternoon, Poeia was playing on my desktop and on the shelf next to it. I heard a "beep beep" and by the time my brain registered the sound and realized she had pushed a button on the phone with her beak, she had climbed back on the desk and into my shirt for protection. Fortunately the fire works are just enough south of here that we're not hearing them too well. She's gone back in to hide a few times but nothing too extreme. (I say "fortunately" because, once she gets over her fright, she likes to nibble on my collar bone and her beak really needs to be trimmed.)
