I'd occasionally forget what time I voted the previous day and I'd get a discreet announcement, in red, that they had already received a vote from that address within the past 24 hours. When the 24 hours were up, I'd try again and the vote would go through.

So I don't know how anyone could vote more than once per device per day.

That's true, and I don't know that they can do much about people who voted from multiple browsers without running into problems like ccat said where a bunch of people in the same building voted.
