It's after 6:00 in NY & Oil is at $49.14 so it looks like I'm getting a 18650 DNA 30 mod and mvpTina gets a sample pack.

I still think the guesses should be cut off on Wednesday instead of Thursday.

I look at this different ways.

1. Kudo's to Heden for being the first to pick the ending price on Thursday. When I looked at the market on Thursday evening I saw he had picked the ending price without realizing the market would be closed on Friday. I remember thinking, it's (market) gotta move one way or another (but I have no market experience). I was more or less guessing on the Iran deal effect on the market.

2. I don't want to assume whether POP knew or didn't know the market was going to be closed on Friday. Holidays are just another day in my life so I get caught often with stuff being closed when I am not expecting it. I am enjoying this game and it's "competition" win or lose. It is exhilarating to win a really nice prize, but the bottom line is a vendor "Mom and Pop Vapor Shop" is graciously helping random people out.

3. Ending the picking a day earlier will make the competition more interesting in my opinion. It creates a wider variable of guessing. (when numbers like $1234.56 can win)

Heden Aklowd, I see where he said that too. The thing is that there was no closing price on 4/3/15 because the market did not trade today. The closing was for the price on 4/2/15.

I don't think POP had remembered that that market was closed today when he wrote it. For one thing, that means that everyone that guessed their price after yesterday's close, including you, already had the week's closing price. For another, I am pretty sure that if POP thought of this, he would have moved the final entry time from Thursday night to Wednesday night.

Hopefully POP will come in and, like remark asked, come up with a contingency plan. Who knows, maybe it will be to stick with Thursday's closing price, which would mean you would win it.

Since the market was closed today I think it would be fair if all guesses after 11:59pm on 4/1 were null and void and anybody who guessed in the following 24 hours can re-guess and P0P goes with closing price on Monday. Then we pickup the game again with the next commodity, same rules.

All this discussion is fine, but it's really up to POP. Personally, I don't see where Heden did anything wrong. He said he didn't know the market would be closed today. He said the thought it would go up, and so did I. That's why I picked $49.50.

True, but if he thought it would go up, why did he pick Thursday's exact closing number? I thought it was a bit odd when he picked it, and thought to myself "does he not think there will be any movement on Friday?". But now it makes sense.

The speculation is because Heden guessed $49.14, the exact closing price after it closed. Guaranteed win. Whether he knew or not is entirely irrelevant and he shouldn't be put on trial. P0P definitely didn't know it would be closed Friday and there's a reason the rules state that entries are closed 17 hours prior to the market closing the following day, otherwise this contest would make no sense, just like why we can't edit our guesses.

Either way, I'm curious what the contingency plan is. Thank you P0P (it's a zero, not the letter "O" ) for the continued fun contest and generosity!

Good afternoon everyone I see i goofed up not knowing the stock market would be closed on Fri. I am very sorry for that. The best and only fair way to continue is very simple we roll it over to Monday's close this way everyone is still in and has the same odds of winning. I honestly don't see why this would be an issue and it keeps the game going in a fair way for everyone. That's how i want to do this. Thank you all for understanding this will make Monday even more fun and we can shorten the next game from Tue to Thur which i will announce soon.
