I haven't gotten a syringe yet.. I guess I could see the usefulness. I use the pyramid tea bag mod (youtube it, very easy) and my carts are rather easy to refill. 25 ml is an alright amount of liuid, you may want to get a little more if you have someone else vaping with you. If you find you like the 510, another startup kit would be good for your second order. Consider a usb passthrough and a PCC as well, makes life easier when it comes to always having a charge and being able to vape.

edit to add, I would try and find a 5v pt w/ out the iinline batt so you can try vaping at a higher voltage, mine is about to arrive, can't wait

I don't know how much you smoked or for how long but it could make a difference in the mg. you ordered. I was a heavy smoker so I use 36. I would also plan on ordering more atomizers very soon. They don't seem to last very long. The batteries usually last longer but you will get tried of recharging them (usually don't last very long) If you get extra atomiers and batteries and purchase the multicharge (charges 5 batteries at time) you can have several 510 units at a much lower price.

I've only been doing this a few days, but here's what I would do...

Get a lot of extra batteries and several extra carts. Get a lot of juice, in small quantities so you can find what you like and your taste will change quickly!

In 5 days, I went from not liking a flavor to it being the only one I like RY4. I thought I would want the cigarette flavors, but I don't like them at all and prefer the sweet, creamy and smooth flavors.

Get some PG and VG, so you can try both. Get various strength liquids.

I have 6 batteries total for my KR808D-1 and use 2 or three a day. Recharging isn't a "PITA" for me and I kind of enjoy all the little rituals (charging, refilling, cleaning).

And most important, at least for me, keep reading the forum. There is not only a wealth of information, but some really smart and hilarious people on here. YouTube video reviews are also nice. Grimm Green and Phee3 are my favorites. You can follow their progressing from starting out to being 'experts' and see how their evolution is going to be a similar path as your own.

Keeping yourself involved is going to help making the switch to ecigs even easier.

May want to consider a package of empty cartridges to fill with your different flavors. I would also get 2 extra batteries. You can charge them and rotate them. I always needed 3 charged batteries a day. Don't go crazy buying them though. They should last long enough for you to decide if you're comfortable with vaping. You can then consider a big battery mod or stock up on 510 stock batteries. I didn't price any extras and I can't figure out how to make my computer type the sign for Pounds Sterling, but it looks as though 35 quid is about average for the 510 starter kit in the UK. Seems a little high to me, but I have no idea what the UK suppliers are paying to get them in-country and I have no idea what the current exchange rate is.

Good Luck with Vaping.

Get strong enough liquid. I smoked 3 packs a day of ultralights. I started with very low level of nicotine and it just wasn't doing it for me. I now use mostly 20-24mg. Sometimes I go higher in the morning and lower to help me wind down at night.

You need a minimum of 2 batteries (which your kit should have) but 3 is better. Sometimes the first isn't quite done recharging when I'd drained the second. Don't buy many more than that. If you really take to vaping you'll find a battery mod will last all day (or longer) between charges and, in the long run, cost less. Then you'll only want your original, little batteries for emergency backups and for stealth vaping.

Atomizers - At least 3. I've been very lucky. After 8 weeks my 801 atomizers are beginning to complain. My 510s (which are about a week newer) are just fine. But I gather that's unusual. Also, if any of your liquid choices are especially pungent, you'd need to clean it out very well before using it for a different juice. (I hated one juice I bought. I finally got the taste out but I can still smell it on the atomizer.)

Cartridges are cheap. Buy an extra box.

Passthrough - if you spend a lot of time on the computer, a passthrough lets you use the computer power and save draining your batteries (so they are all charged when you are ready to go out.) I plug mine into an AC/USB adapter so it isn't on my computer (just in case.) If you do that, make sure the output on the adapter is at least 1,000 mA.

If you are out and about a lot, a PCC can be good. It will charge one of your batteries while you carry it with you and fit other stuff in too. If you are basically home, office and one other place, it probably isn't necessary.

I also bought a USB charger which I use to recharge one 510 battery off my office computer.

I have only been at it for 13 days, but bought a 510 kit with 2 batts, 2 attys, 5 carts and a 30ml bottle of marlb*** 18mg. I have since added a PT 5volt, 30ml of 24mg Virgin (which I cut in half), 10ml of Mrs T's Banna Foster, 6ml of orange dreamsickle,6ml of cheesecake & 6ml of peanut butter/chocolate. I added 177ml of VG, 4 bottles of flavors and toothpics..lol. I hate to think how much I will spend in the near future for extra attys and juice bottles! I smoked 2 packs of analogs per day (cheapest I could find at approx. $3.65/pack) so it will probably take me about 20 days total to break even, but it will still be cheaper and more healthy than the analogs...

WhatAClumsyGirl: so true about the flavors. I got cig flavors at first and don't really like any of them. However, the RY4, Caramel and Cinnamon are my favs.

Shotgun: if it makes you feel better, it's going to take me 3.75 months to break even... sure the SB is a big part of it, but 6 days in and I am analog free, so it's worth every penny
