Hi all,
I was just introduced to my buddy's inLife e-cigarette yesterday. I am completely sold on the idea, but now i face a new decision: which brand to go with...

There is no one site that I have found that ranks the different brands of e-cigs, so I ask you to please help me in my quest to find the best quality.

Things I am looking for:

I would prefer one with a blue LED as to not be approached when vaping in a public place.

Price is not really a concern, but in these economic times I would prefer to spend as little as possible for a good quality product. Quality over price.

I would love to find something that has a variety of flavors, and the ability to use a car charger.

One other question: is there any store in so cal that sells them? I would prefer not to wait for it to be shipped.

thanks for your time, any comments are welcomed and appreciated!

Once you've gone through Spikey's video, I will add that right now, your head's going to be spinning with TMI regarding our little gizmos. Not only is there new terminology but a whole other dialog at times.... so .... with regards to a first vaping device - just pick one. Any one. Grab what's available, interesting to you, and in the low end of your price range. Get some juice to try out, and get the stuff in your hands.

Once you have equipment handy, and once you start putting the words on the forum together with what's in your hands... a lot of this stuff is just going to "click."

You're going to have a learning curve. Everyone does. That's what this forum is best at - guiding our noobs to the "promised land" and watching them, in turn, guide others.

You're probably going to change equipment - almost everyone does that, too. But your beginning gear will always serve as a back up.

Just remember, you can't get used to the water if you're standing on the shore. Jump in!

Are you looking strictly for a super mini(one that looks very similar in size to a cig)?

sorry, tried doing that last one from an iphone...not so successful.

what i was trying to say was i am not necessarily looking to purchase a mini. Im down for basically any size and color (as long as its not a cigar or pipe). I would prefer something with a blue LED, but i am not willing to sacrifice quality for it.

basically, I want to put an order in asap. I want to know what i should buy, how much of it, and where (what website). I want enough cartridges to last a while, maybe with some flavor/strength variety.

again thanks for all your help.

these are the brands im considering:

    inlife
    njoy
    smoking everywhere
    instead
    epuffer
    red dragon
    smokeless delight

any opinions on any of these products would be extremely helpful. thank you

better to teach *you* some of the mass amounts of info you can find yourself, to better make your decision.

Note none of the above are listed here?

The e-puffer and red dragon fall under the 'semi-disposable' listing, as they have disposable atomizers, integrated into the cartridges.

All you've listed are basically brands which sell a model that can be had elsewhere at 50% or so of the price.

Decide what's important to you. convenience? buy a 2 piece, but it will cost more, and carts may or may not burn up.

Good throat hit? Get a 510, or M201, or Jantystick. Or go all out and get a 'mod' like the Screwdriver, or GG, or Prodigy.

The preferences poll won't give you all of your answers, but it's a start.

    Want a shorter answer?
Buy a 510 kit, with at least 2x atomizers and batteries. If it's for you, then add on some spare batteries or USB passthrough and spare atomizers, plus PCC.

Either way, get some sampler liquids, try Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America for their sampler kit, but order a few 'staples' wherever you buy your kit from - 10ml of a tobacco variant, and some RY4.

    Where to buy a 510?

For others, take a look at the higher 'preferred models' and decide what you want, specifically, and go from there.

I've yet to have an issue with a vendor in the US, have bought from many of them, and gotten good service. For the 510, have bought from
AltSmoke - Electronic Cigarettes, DSE901, The Yeti & More.
    and
Electric Cigarette & E Liquid - Totally Wicked Electronic Cigarette Fluid

and had good turnaround..and others I'm forgetting..

Ditto on the Joye 510 suggestion. I started vaping a month ago and went through 4 kits before I tried this model. I wish I'd found it sooner. Runner up choice would be a 901 model in my opinion; it's cheap and available all over, and it's a good one to learn the ropes on until you figure out what's most important to you in an e-cig.
