Petition – In connection with e-liquids which contain nicotine

In Hungary there is a new way of thinking about nicotine containing products. They would automatically fall under pharmaceutical regulations. This abridgement causes a lot of disadvantages and impossibility for Hungarian vapours and shops for reselling the nicotine containing e-liquids.
Moreover, it was introduced without any changes in the laws.
Some competent bodies say that “Nicotine is a pharmacological agent to which the pharmaceutical legislation applies in accordance with EU regulations. According to the laws of such products should go through the administrative process for the authorization of medicinal products”.
This statement is so wide, that we could say that there are lots of nicotine containing products which could be handled in the same point of view. Just some examples for products that contain nicotine (but of course these are not under pharmaceutical regulations):
- natural nicotine-based pesticides
- nicotine-containing plants such as cauliflower, eggplant, potato, tomato, etc..
- Any alcohol derivatives
- Any tobacco product
- Any cleaners
- All types of fuels
- Vitamins, such as vitamin containing any commodity, therefore, fruits and plants
- Sugar
- salt
- water
- fresh air
- Sunshine
That is why because of nicotine containing, e-liquids do not have to be under pharmaceutical regulations, and they should be released freely as normal products.
We would therefore ask the competent authorities of the European Community legislation to suspend the regulation which says that: distribution of nicotine containing e-cigarette products must have pharmaceutical manufacturing license.

Thanks a lot for helping us by assigning this petition.

maybe oldsoldier would be the one to approach ....

or you can post in ''site feedback and help'' and ask where it is best to open a thread to get signatures for the petition .....

smokeyjoe, the founder of ecf, is in the uk and might have some advice. also, rolygate is very active watching legislation in the uk - that might be a good option, too
