Hey all!

OK, so I have what I'm guessing is pretty unusual preferences for my vaping. I've been vaping for a little over two years now (can't believe it's been that long!!) and I love vaping. But the one thing I do NOT like is "big throat hit". I don't find it comfortable. But I *do* like a lot of flavorful vapor, solid mouthfeel, etc.

I've found that when an atty is new (less than a day or so old) it performs perfectly. No throat burning, great flavor, etc. Once broken in, I still get great flavor and lots of vapor, but I also get some massive throat hit. (At least it feels massive to me.) If I were a millionairre, I'd just go through a new atty every day, and call it a good time, lol. But alas, I'm not that rich, so...

I need help finding the perfect setup. Lots of vapor. Great flavor and mouthfeel. But little to NO throat hit. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on what might help me accomplish that. Thanks in advance everyone!! :D

I'm not a big one for TH either. I hate atomizers due to this but there is one I discovered I love...dual coil atomizers from cloudsofvapor.com. Awesome flavor and vapor....and little TH but it gives a "fullness" feeling when you draw on it.

I also don't know if you like cartomizers but one I really like is the echo-e dual coil. Warm vapor and very flavorful. TH isn't too awefully huge on these IMO. You can check them out here......ECHO Cartomizer. They are 510 threaded and will fit an ego but if using on a mod, you will need a 510/ego adapter which can be purchased at goodprophets.com or madvapes.com.

You might want to consider a VV setup so you can turn the voltage down until there's little or no TH. Madvapes has a VV boxmod for around $35 and it would let you try it out. I like lots of TH and crank mine up to get what I need. The hit on some atty's is just too soft for me so I just stick them on the VV box and put it where I want it.

Here's another one that hasn't been mentioned------ hybrid atty by Vapage. Some call it aerie? The Vmod is a tidy little bottom feeder and could be a nice change from the ego shape.

I also like boge 2.0 cartos -- and 901's --- and dual coils, tho the LR ones are a bit hot for me. You are getting good advice, imho.

(I decided retry my ego tanks on a high volt device. Plumes of vapor--limited on flavor. Great way to use neglected juices.)

(AND -- I rarely direct inhale --- that's what helps me on the throat hit part, tho I've heard the Vmod was designed to be great for direct inhale.)

Well... 1st off, Hi vet. 2 years... that's great. Good for you!

The next thing I'm not sure of. This is a guess, since you are a 2 year vet you probably know a lot about this already, however, from your OP I'd look at atomizer issues 1st. Cleaning in particular. I'm sure you must have a routine, but you didn't mention it.

As far as "break in" I think of it more as "break down"..... an atty only performs at 100% at the very start. Some people claim that an atty needs a break-in period, but to me, it's more like "leveling out around 80%". The reason you are getting harsher hits is that drop in performance.

Ego-T atties... IDK... I don't use them. Don't know about cleaning them and performance. For regular atties, it only takes a day or so before they drop in performance. Blow them out and clean them, of course.

Higher voltages or lower resistance help to better atomize juice on those 80% atties too. The "oomph" factor of the wattage will do a better job of vaporization.

For me... it takes 5 volts and 3.0 ohm atties (8.3333 watts) for a "full hit". But I'd rather have it smooth. So I clean my atties and cycle them after a month of use... even if working.

vv is the way to go for options. LR on 3.x volts if you must.

You may wish to investigate more VG, less PG too.

Good luck with whatever you select.
