Hey guys..just a quick primer: I have vaped before about 4 years ago for 6 months and then like an idiot I went back to smoking. At that time I had no bad side effects.

So about one week ago I stopped smoking completely. I used to smoked 1/2 to 1 pack a day. I got the spinner 2 and got 6mg nicotine juices. I am not really that addicted to nicotine since the 6mg juice has been fine. But over the last 3 days..I have started getting canker sores in my mouth, my lymph nodes are super sore, i feel lethargic and overall like I have the flu without the flu if you know what I mean.

is this just the nasty cig toxins leaving my body? Has anyone experienced this and if so how long do they last? I will power through it but man who would have thought that being healthy could be so hard ? lol...any advice is appreciated. Thanks

From personal experience the first couple of weeks were the worst. I'm not sure if what your feeling is directly linked with your recent change to e-cigs, but i do know that after people switch from analogs to e-cigs they tend to link every little thing to the e-cig. I don't know how canker sores would be caused by the switch, but i'm not sure that it's not either. I had broke out on my forehead really bad after quitting, but after a week or so it cleared up. If it's not too unbearable i would give it a couple days and just pay close attention to your health. If it seems like your getting worse than check with a doctor because you might be allergic to something in the juice. If your not getting better after a few days then lay off of the e-cigs and see if you notice a change there. Pretty much process of elimination. I hope this helps!

For me each time a quit smoking it got worse, flu like symptoms for sure and I also did get sick as well on top of all of that. Took almost 2 months to get rid of a hacking, 6 months to get rid of the terrible break outs. I drank tons of water and green tea seemed to help.

Others will have more advise but detoxing is rough, real rough. Hang in there and welcome :)

Swollen lymph glands/nodes are a sure indicator that you have an infection. Time to see the doctor get a CBC and more than likely an antibiotic. For the Canker sores, it would help to get an antimicrobial mouthwash/rinse, avoid acidic foods and drinks, rinse your mouth after each vape to help reduce nicotine on the sores (nicotine can burn even the healthiest of mouths!). I would even go as far as getting a 0 mg juice for use during phases of outbreak of sores to eliminate any further pain nicotine can cause.

I doubt the sores are related to the lymph nodes directly but the fact you have swollen glands suggests an infection which is related to the immune system and that system when taxed can cause outbreaks of canker sores.

I believe you may be experiencing some side effects of your body detoxing on top of getting sick. If your lymph nodes are sore and swollen, that normally indicates your body is fighting some sort of illness, or you have an infection. You may want to go see a doctor if at all possible. The sores in your mouth could be just sores, or you could be having dental issues that has lead to an infection (not caused by the vaping in the short amount of time you been vaping).

I am not a doctor, but I would do a salt water gargle to start and make an appointment with your physician to start.

Yeah...just in my family we dont go to the doctor unless you are dying lol...I will stick it out for a couple of more days and see how I feel...so weird though...i actually read a study that vaping can cause canker sores when coming off of analogs so at least semi normal
