setup..
smy 60 tc mini
kanger subtank mini v2
kanger ni200 .15 occ coil head v2/vertical
batteries ranging from lg he4, lg hb6, xtar vtc4, sony vtc5's

i had been vaping with the original kanger ni200 horizontal coil head with no problem. then i changed to the new vertical version of the kanger ni200 which was fine for a couple of days, then all of a sudden the mod wont reach temp anything over 450 or so, i like vaping it maxed out at 600 :p.. anyways, i did some research and couldnt find much in the way of not reaching temp, mostly people having problems with reaching temp too fast, read about pushing up the 510 connection before installing the occ head and so forth.. thought it may just be a dud coil head so i changed to a brand new head even though the one i replaced was only 2-3 days old and was working just fine until today :S popped in the new head and still the problem persists :( THEN i tried doing some of the things i had read, such as pushing up the 510 connection, poking the cotton from the side of the coil/juice holes, fiddling with the spring loaded connection in the mod, checking to see if any method worked between each interval... no dice! can anyone help? thanks in advance

i'm going to speak from my experience using the subtank minis, especially with temperature control builds. the tanks themselves are hit or miss when it comes to a stable 510 connection. the slightest milliohm shift will throw your temp off quite a bit and the kanger ni200 heads, samthing. but usually more miss than hit. all i can say is either build an actual ni200 in kanger rba section and see if that clears up your problem or don't use the subtank at all for TC builds. buy an actual RTA. for intance, a youde goblin, bellus, goliath, zephyrus or an aromamizer rdta, or crius rta or griffin rta to name a few. those i mentioned will be great for tc builds. i had 1 out of 3 subtank minis actually work for tc. the other 2, the ohms would constantly fluctuate.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I have been closely studying the efficacy of Subtanks and come to the opposite conclusion. Many, many vapers attest to the stable performance of the Subtank, but as with anything your results may vary, a lot. You might just have a bum coil, or any number of other issues that affect your vape.

I cannot speak from experience about the STM, but have seen complaints about them very rarely. You owe it to yourself to go over your set-up with a critical eye and determine if it is something simple to fix, rather than throw the baby out with the bath-water. That you are getting random results tells me you need to look inward first, then blame the hardware. But again, your results will vary.
