soooooo.... I have some basic questions. what gauge of kanthal or wire is thick and which is thin. which has a higher resistance an what has a lower one. and what is the significance of the wraps. does it depict the ohm level? or does it just serve as the heating element. also what is the difference between 3mm wick and two mm wick besides the size. I really want to take my vaping experience to the next level. can anyone help?

Gauge is counter-intuitive; as the number decreases, the thickness increases. Also the lower number gauge, thicker wire, the lower the resistance. This might be a good place to start:
Kanthal A1 Wire resistance Chart

The more wraps you use, the more wire, so it will slightly increase the resistance, but not as much as using a different gauge usually. The "ohm level" (same as resistance) results from a combo of gauge and wraps.

Also, you'll generally get more responses if you thread is titled about your subject (in this case something like "help a noob with resistance and wire gauge" would help)

about wick size, i have used a very thick wick and also a very thin wick, to me the difference is minute. the difference is not the diameter of the wick but its density, i have had the best results in a denser wick meaning a wick with more mesh within its size, but if you have to much then it starts to take more power to heat it up which starts to affect the time it takes to heat up resulting in a lag. i feel that no matter how big your wick is the important thing is to leave a space between the wick & wick hole. all in all its just a matter of expeirmenting with different configurations.
