Well, I am pretty much a mutant now, so let's see .... hmmmm I think my lungs will mutate to be much larger and my eyes will bug out more than they already do. Thoughts?

Gills?
Vapor just shoots or the gills right?
Oh. Hair loss and 6 arms.

I quit smoking and started using an electronic cigarette about 3 weeks ago. I started at 18mg and about a week ago went down to 14mg. Two days ago I smoked a lot more than usual, taking deep throat hits and my throat started up feel sore. I figured it was from the e cig and toned it down. Yesterday I barely smoked most of the day and it started to feel better. In the evening I gave in and started using my e cig again because my throat was feeling better. By the end of the night, my throat was really hurting, much more than it had the night prior. When I woke up this morning, the pain was still immense. I have not smoked at all today because the throat pain I am experiencing is almost unbearable. I can't talk, eat, drink, swallow without experiencing extreme pain on the left side of my throat. I tried looking at my throat in the mirror but I could not see the area where the pain is coming from. I have tried to gargle salt water and I have been guzzling water despite how painful it is. I am wondering if I should go to urgent care or is this normal? I have a pretty high pain tolerance and this is worse than any kind of sore throat I have ever experienced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds to me that your setup is too harsh for how you're hitting it. Higher VG and lower nic will smooth it out some. Also, your coil might be underwicked - if you're using prebuilt coils, maybe try changing out the coil. You could also try mouth-to-lung hits, slowly until you find your comfort zone, at least until the pain goes away. Throat lozenges too maybe? What equipment are you using?

I've had the exact same symptoms as you, but mine was due to a decrease in nic from 12mg in a tank to 3mg in an RDA. I started taking a lot more hits than usual, and I went to the doctor on 3 separate occasions. All 3 times, I had a bad headache, sore throat that made swallowing even water painful, and other cold symptoms. Twice, I was diagnosed with a viral nasal infection, most likely caused by either a lack of mucus production in my nose, or mere dehydration.

Just drink plenty of water both before and after you vape. I like to think of it as this: "Your sense of dehydration gets dumbed down a bit because you've been inhaling water vapor which tricks your brain into thinking you're good on water. You continue to vape, potentially lodging more and more liquid that houses trace amounts of bacteria from your atty, old juice, or the atmosphere into your nasal cavity. And lastly, when you fail to drink water, the mucus layer on the cavity dries and closes up--leaving the bacteria sealed in your nose. Then, they multiply, resulting in your cold-like symptoms."

That's the best way to prevent the sickness from happening haha. Just drink water... or pay your local doc for some antibiotics. [emoji106]
