Common sense just isn't very common anymore. Enough people are being raised to believe that the government is a loving parental entity that should look after you and take care of you. They are raised to believe that the government should provide all of your needs and protect you from anything dangerous as well as ensure that you make the right choices for your health and well being. They are then growing up to elect people that run on platforms of creating a Nanny State to do just that.

We're drifting off topic. vape related posts stay here. Political posts will get closed or moved.

If they can't ban hardware they will sure as heck try to tax it. I don't vape much anymore. I've got enough hardware to last a few decades.
I make my own liquid and am 0 nic.
I suggest stocking up on nic.
They won't be able to tax hardware. Hardware is very easy to make, and easy to buy and sell under the radar. The nicotine is the only part they can truly "sin" tax out the wazoo.

If they still can sell nic base I'll be happy. I'll pay the tax and still be ahead costwise.

I can see some states causing the prices to more than double due to taxes.

What gets me is that the FDA has already approved long term nicotine use for other NRT's yet somehow vaping is BAAAD and yet they want us to believe it is about our health and not about the money.

Here's the appropriate part from the report.
We (the FDA) have reviewed the published literature on this longer-term use of NRT products and have not identified any safety risks associated with such use. A well-known and highly regarded study on the effects of long-term use of NRT products is the Lung Health Study, in which almost 6,000 smokers were given access to free nicotine gum for up to 5 years (see Murray et al., 1996). In this study, over 1,000 subjects were still using the gum after 1 year. The adverse effects of long-term nicotine gum use reported by these subjects were described as minor and transient, and there was no correlation between long-term gum use and cardiovascular events. A followup study found that long-term ad lib use of nicotine gum neither increased nor decreased the Lung Health Study subjects' likelihood of developing cancer.

You can sum up the American government and it's entities with one picture...

Does anyone else think the government will magically find that e-cigs are healthy once they get them donating to their bank account?
